Christ, I leave the game early cause that was just an amazing playoff team to watch, the Sens looked good out there. Then I walk in the door to see I missed 2 goals

I've watched peewee teams play with more intensity and heart

I hope Garth is getting his due diligence done and calling Howson to see what it would take for Nash

- Killer' Carlson

Garth and due dilligence in the same sentence, really?

As far as Streit goes, I could see him being on his way out next year and Tavares named Captain. Every game that goes by that he's not wearing the C just pains me even more. He's clearly the leader of this team and he should be awarded with the honor.

Opening night was a prelude to the season. Any time any glimmer of hope or excitement this team brings upon themselves, they completely poop the bed. Today was the worst game I've ever attended. Almost a full house and a chance to really be relevant in the standings and you have a non existing effort. It makes no sense that they came out this way today. I can't explain it in the least. There is no explanation. If the same lineup is trotted out tomorrow then someone should have serious questions for Garth snow. I don't think anyone played with any

I have a serious question for Snow. How in the hell did you get a Masters degree?

I agree Potvin. This is on the coaches and with Jack just sitting there doing nothing was riveting. There was a point in the game he was talking to Weight and basically he asked him have any answers, I went nuts when I heard this and started screaming at Jack, Obviously Jack can not coach and one of the biggest games of the year and they came out like that sorry that is on Jack
- kasperrko

The whole team as well as Capuano are all a bunch of jokes. They should be ashamed of themselves, if they can't get up for a game like this they shouldn't be playing in this league. What a joke

Obviously having a Masters is not relevant when pertaining to being a GM.

There is no reason to go on without Eaton. He should not be looking for a trade. He goes to a real team he will need to produce. I have no idea why Nabby wants to stay?
- ses111

(frank) Eaton, I mean I don't blame ANYONE to not want to play here but Eaton? The guy is a piece of shat! Probabaly wants out for the same reasons Roloson did after watching the game today, what a (frank)ing joke.

Here's what we know with Nabby... He's going to be 37, yes. He seems to enjoy it here with the young kids, yes. He is the reason we are pissed off and actually still care about hockey late into February, yes.

Nabby's family live in CA. None of those teams are seeking a #1 goalie next year. Does he have a chance to go and play for Chicago, Philly or Toronto next year, absolutely. But, family wise that puts him in the same scenario he's in here. But if the Islanders are smart they will offer him more money to stay right here where he is already comfortable and everyone looks up to him and explain to him that he will be the teams #1 and along the way tutor the young Poulin. After watching the first minute and a half today, we all know he needs it!

Not for nothing, trading Nabby should be a no-brainer, but I would DEFINITELY look into trading Streit. Why the hell not? He'd bring back an impact player, albeit young and untested, and a high pick. If not trade him, at least put some feelers out there and get some bidders out there. A playoff team would love a Streit-type and he's not going to be a part of any success here, he's too old.

I'd actually look to re-sign PA, unless some team offers a 1st rounder. This team played today like they're already looking for tee times at Bethpage.

if Nabby really wants to stay there's no reason for the Isles to have to overpay... Nabby is not going to resign here, why would he? Makes 0 sense!

Streit I would love to move and since PA does not want to talk contract now I think you need to move him as well. This team need a big shakeup in that room. Too many contended players.

only room that needs a shakeup is the owner's box. Need a new owner and a GM (Dave Taylor)

Needing a new owner and GM goes without saying. It's just not going to happen.

Why do we always lose after there seems to be the most hope????? Only way there is still hope is a win tomorrow. Is Nabby available please? I am also ready for Nino in the top 2 lines for a good part of a game to see what may come of it.

I think it's definitely possible for this team to get a new owner. The Isles have lots of potential, good young talent, good core of young players, and great history. If the team were to put up the for sale sign I think we'd see alot of interest. I mean Jesus, someone bought the Atlanta Thrashers!!!

If Jim Balsillie bought this team I'd be so happy

Guy has so much money and is just looking to pour it into something. Look at everything he wanted to do with the Preds. The guy is a business machine and would have this franchise in tip top shape in no time.

Sell it Charles! Your an bumhole!

I did not see the game but it sounds like Poulin gave up some bad goals? I thought he was better than this? He does not seem to have ther consistency yet. The injuries play a part I'm sure. Isles are way too fragile in all areas to be a real playoff team.

Isles need a Candian owner with a love of the game willing to stay in NY. Isles keep getting these owners who could care less about Hockey.

He also blatantly wanted to move them to Canada. I'm not so sure anybody is going to want the Islanders to move.

well Nashville is a piece of poop market anyways. Like seriously, Nashville? The Preds have no history, nothing. Check the score of the hockey game after the race.

NY (Long Island) is a whole different animal - a marketable powerhouse. Who would want to take a team with such rich history and roots in the community out of its home? Not a smart owner. Sure maybe move it a couple counties over but that's about it. The Isles' fans are there, Nashville's weren't. Look at the stupid rallies they had to hold, that's embarrassing. The Pens went through the same thing. Got some new owners, new building and boom! That's what's going to happen with this franchise. Wang won't get his deal, he'll sell the team - new owner comes in drops the axe cleans house and we're off to the races.

And then I woke up. It's all Bob Gutkowski's fault. He was suppose to buy this team. I cannot believe he did not have enough rich contacts to get together to buy the Islanders after his time at MSG. Bob would have been really good.

The Penguins are also the only professional sports team within 300+ miles of Pittsburgh. Probably 90% (if not more) of Pittsburgh area residents are Penguins fans. Islanders have 50% of our area, at the absolute best. The Islanders are considered a small market team, despite their proximity to NYC.

Balsillie attempted to purchase the Penguins, Predators, and Coyotes. The closest he came to "intending" to keep each of those three teams in their respective hometowns was Pittsburgh, where his not-so-convincing pitch to Pens fans was that he "couldn't rule out" a move to Canada, but would try to remain committed to Pittsburgh. He made literally no attempt in the other two attempted-purchases to hide the fact that he wants to move a team to Hamilton. If Balsillie buys the Isles you can kiss them goodbye.

Who hired Snow who then hired Cappy. Charles is the main problem with this team. It starts and ends with him. Charles could tell Garth I'm not happy with what's going on. Fix it or your gone. Charles is guilty by doing nothing. He is the owner. Snow and Cappy work for him.
