you forget we got the bionic man signed for life? Obviously the franchise is still behind DiPietro, he'll be ready next month. Nabokov is not going to stay in Long Island! Who the (frank) would at this point in their career. Nabby will sign somewhere that guaruntees him a shot at the cup. Sign Montoya and him and DiPietro can split the season.

The isles would finish with 65 points if that tandem played the entire season

Opening night was a prelude to the season. Any time any glimmer of hope or excitement this team brings upon themselves, they completely poop the bed. Today was the worst game I've ever attended. Almost a full house and a chance to really be relevant in the standings and you have a non existing effort. It makes no sense that they came out this way today. I can't explain it in the least. There is no explanation. If the same lineup is trotted out tomorrow then someone should have serious questions for Garth snow. I don't think anyone played with any

Sure there is. We've discussed it all season long. Wang and Snow have removed the heart and soul players from the team. Replaced them with worn out over the hill vets and instructed the team to avoid getting physical. (fighing) Now you remember?

I agree that's an issue 100% but that fact still doesn't explain how (frank)ing bad today's effort was. Its one thing to throw out a stinker but it's completely another to look dead. I don't have the proper adjective to describe what I watched today. Listless? That is even too good.

Ok was at the game today and I blame this whole game on Captain JAck and not having them ready for the game at all, I was sitting right behind him no emotion from him at all and stood and the same place. He has done nothing at all for this team and the winning I beleive is not beccuase of him. He looks as clueless as his team. We need Nabby back quick he is our only hope.

For the maroons who think Nabby dont want to play here well his agent is talking to Garth Snow about keeping Nabby here in New York. i already said it he does not want to go no where and never did. It will be Nabby and Poulin next year with Montoya gone and DP dropped off a bridge. Also look for Streit to get traded before anyone else. His time is up here.

Again we need Jack out of here soon. No emotion and he said in the post game he wanted the guys to be more physical. Really? Who can do that? No one at all!!

I don't think it would be that bad but certainly wouldn't be anything stellar. As long as DiPietro is under contract there's no way the Isles are going to sign another goalie, well a starter anyways. Double penetration has this franchise handcuffed - management has to give him next year to see what he can do.

When the fish stinks. You dont just cut off the head and tail. You throw out the entire fish.

As we've been saying. It starts at the top. No accountability demanded from the owner. A Coach who at most times looks lost. And a GM who believes that he can build a Stanley Cup winner solely by drafting 18 yr old kids. He Over estimates some of them and never parts with any of them until they have no value left. By his own admission this is yr 5 of the rebuild. But.... 5th yr out of how many??? We're not any better than last season. Or frankly the season before that.

Uh Oh! Back to that accountability issue again.

Agreed and its really the same story all year........the isles win a game and just when you think its time for a string of wins, they come out completely emotionless in front of a packed house. THey just cant get up for day games......

really? So why didn't Nabby report last season? Why the holdout? Why would Nabby want to stay on Long Island when there are cup contending teams looking for a goalie to bring them to the top? Players at this stage in their careers don't want to lose, they want a cup - especially a guy like Nabby. Not to mention they are paying DiPietro 4.5/season, what's he going to do? He'd be the most expensive backup in the league.

As far as Streit goes, I could see him being on his way out next year and Tavares named Captain. Every game that goes by that he's not wearing the C just pains me even more. He's clearly the leader of this team and he should be awarded with the honor.

Maybe Nabokov's holding out for a 15 year contract.

I'm so sick of this poop, I can barely talk about it anymore or, even, joke about it anymore. I'm (frank)ing sick of it.

Not for nothing I know Cappy isn't the coach for this team but I don't see how this whole game is fault. This isn't the first time this season and when do these so called professional hockey players start knowing how to hustle and play with some heart? What Cappy shoulda done was pull a Herb Brooks and made them stay on the ice and skate infront of whatever fans were still there. But he couldn't even do that if he wanted cause they need to catch a flight to Buffalo n play tomorrow.

Just seems like this team only has 4 or 5 players that know how to show up for mostly all the games they're paid to play

When a team comes out playing the way the Isles did today, that's usually a pretty damn good indication they weren't prepared to play. And that's on the coaching staff. It happens once a (frank)ing week. It's deplorable and almost to be expected at this point.

As I said ad nauseum months ago, who cares, right? There's no accountability with this organization. I could just cut and paste any of my rants from earlier in the season, but why bother? At this point I MIGHT care less than 90 percent of the guys in the organization. I'm so used to it at this point...We all are, and that's a big problem.

Nabby was not even playing much last year he was no better at that point then what we had so he did not report. The reports are out there that he wants to stay. Without him we have no chance for the playoffs this year next year and the year after. Dipietro us done my friend has been done and the Islanders dont even mention him anymore. He is gone and will be reassigned with in the organization.

We agree on Streit but out of all the free agents we have everyone is willing to negotiate and nothing from Streit camp. Something tells me we trade him for a pick. Snow will not do anything big my friends.

I agree Potvin. This is on the coaches and with Jack just sitting there doing nothing was riveting. There was a point in the game he was talking to Weight and basically he asked him have any answers, I went nuts when I heard this and started screaming at Jack, Obviously Jack can not coach and one of the biggest games of the year and they came out like that sorry that is on Jack

Streit isn't a free agent... He's signed for another season. And in the event the Isles did trade Streit (while still under a contract), he'd bring back alot more than a pick. In regards to Snow not doing anything big - no poop. Snow never will, he's not allowed. Chow has him under the same orders every year - spend the minimum and ride out the season. Until Chow gets his arena deal the team and fans will suffer.

The players are not stupid they know Wang could care less about winning and they know Snow will not make a trade so the team gets lazy and comfortable. The players will not respect a puppet regime like this to play hard every night and like SCLI wrote the heart and toughness was taken away from this team.

There is no reason to go on without Eaton. He should not be looking for a trade. He goes to a real team he will need to produce. I have no idea why Nabby wants to stay?
