Do you seriously get paid to write this crap. So Schenn sits for one game, for reasons that you have no clue of and he is over valued and looked upon biasly by Leafs Fans. Gardiner sits for a whole bunch of games but his value is considered way higher. I agree his value is more than Schenn, but not for the reasons you are coming up with.

Gagner has never scored 50 points a season, but you think his value is seriously that high. The guy has one good game, it just happens to be while playing beside Hall and Eberle, yet while playing on the second line with an apparently offensively gifted player in Hemsky he can't produce. It must be nice living in your fantasy world.

I never get tired of winding people like you up.

Hall is a future league MVP, and you want me to send him for two okay players? Head. Shake it. Several times.

Hall future MVP? Give your head a shake ...hes a great player but will never be elite ...don't overrate the kid

And we know this because...
- Maxbone

He's a year behind the guys in this draft now. The year these guys just had, Galchenyuk missed. Going straight to the NHL after playing only one junior season is stupid.

Then you should take down your blog. Its Matt Barry quality

Barry is the best writer on here. Hilarious, and always worth the read. If you want dry, pointless, generic blogging, go elsewhere.

No, I just don't like dumb comments.
- Maxbone

Well, your trade proposal is ridiculous. The Kings are fine at center, and can use the players suggested to acquire much better than Gagner and Hemsky as a rental. Just because it works for you guys doesn't mean it's a good deal.

My proposal was just there to show you how foolish yours was.

Perception is perception and teams use off-ice behaviours and reputations all the time to evaluate players.

Bernier is absolutely not worth more than Gagner. He's completely unproven as a starter.

- Maxbone

And Gagner has never proven to be a true second line center, I will take a possible future number 1 goalie over a below average second line center

Bernier would be the main piece of a trade with a Nash or Parise (not saying that's being talked about, but saying).... He might not be proven as a starter, but he's got enough hype and potential to be worth more than a guy who has yet to play a full season or score 20 goals.

Ummm...Hall will win at least one Hart Trophy and one playoff MVP.

We can discuss this more 18 years from now when Hall retires.

He gets paid by number of hits.

Gagner is most definitely a second line center.

Saying that he's never been a top six center and then using the word "possible" to describe Bernier is hilariously contradictory.

It isn't like LA actually wants to move Johnson. If they were shopping him then it is a way for teams to get leverage but in a trade like this I don't see it being a factor. Bernier is unproven obviously but that doesn't make him less valuable than Gagner. He is projected to be a starter and is still developing.

If the Kings are just gonna give Johnson away, the Canucks might as well offer Raymond and a 2nd.

The Kings offense is so good, Quick has lost 10 times this season by a 1-0 score.

Depending on who your getting back, I would to.

But Murray isn't "unproven". He's the best dman available in this draft. Thats saying something when you consider how many good dmen their are in this draft.

- mochoson

Well I'd say he's a safe pick, but he's still unproven compared to guys of his calibre already in the NHL. It's likely he becomes a top defenseman, but if the Oilers are looking to at least be competing for playoffs next year, its more probable they can get there with someone who's young and good now than banking on Murray to have an impact right away.

Do you know what's completely awesome about this discussion?

I posted the trade idea on Twitter, and all the Oilers fans want no part of the deal because it's so one-sided, in their opinion, in favor of the Kings.

On here, all the posts are saying how the Kings would be getting screwed.

Perception is a wonderful, wonderful thing.

- Maxbone

I like that it leads to trade discussion.....not sure you could get your future goalie for a decade or the anchor on your defense for those two....but it is definitely what Edmonton needs...if and that's a big if...hemsky was healthy and the player he was 2 years ago....I could maybe see LA's take.

Why would you want to supplant one of the better 2-way C in the league with a guy who has scored 25% of his points in one week?

YES!

TGYNOGM!!!!

P.S. Pietrangelo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fowler

- laughs2907

Pietangelo > Fowler > Murray is how I'd rank them now.

I don't see St. Louis giving up Pietrangelo anytime soon though.

If Hall wins at least one then Giroux wins at least 3.
