So you're saying fans of teams other than the Oilers know more about the Oilers than Oilers fans?
Keep in mind the Kings are desperate to find a way to score goals, and upper management jobs could be on the line if they don't make the playoffs this season. - Maxbone
No, Oilers fans are biased about their players...Gagner has one amazing night and now he's a top line centre? Kings may be desperate but they aren't stupid...
Hemsky plays 2/3rds of a season at best, Gagner has never reached the 50pt mark...they aren't the answer the Kings are looking for...
And Schenn for Gagner a bad deal for Edmonton? ha ha ha ha ha...Tambelini would take that deal and RUN if it was available... |

Arguing that this deal is fair is about the same as arguing that smoking really isn't that bad for you. |

the oilers are so soft if i were the GM I'd say PRV/Omark/1st rounder are for sale for some size in the top 6 and a top 4 dman...
Also what has PRV done other than cost the oilers games???? put omark in already.

I've come to the conclusion hockey isn't a sport you watch anymore on hockeybuzz. Its just checking NHL.com and looking at stats and forming opinions on nothing.
Your all (frank)ing retarded. |

Ummm, no. Speaking about being biased about your team. Does Schenn like life better in the press box, or in the trainer's room while the Leafs are playing? |

Why not draft Ryan Murray? - deks1
Unproven. Farther away from being an imPact player. |
|
|

If Gagner and Hemsky can land Jack Johnson and Jon Bernier, then I wonder what Mikhail Grabovski and Clarke MacArthur are worth. |

You're right. It isn't fair for the Oilers. No need to throw in a 3rd round pick. |

agree.... id give the blues a 2nd rounder for Jackman cause he scored 1 goal in 150+ games. That would be a huge over payment too. |

How does getting two top six forwards make no sense for the lowest scoring team in the league?
I can't even take how stupid these blogs get anymore. - mochoson
Why do you think Hemsky will find his touch in Los Angeles?

Schenn's played more games this season than Gagner, so I don't really understand your point. |

So Gagner should play behind Nuge and your draft pick, but ahead of Kopitar or Richards?
Aside from that being a bad deal for the Kings to begin with, Gagner doesn't crack LA's top 2 lines either. |
|
|
|
Wow, now that's a terrible deal.
Oilers give four assets for two, and the two immediate players the Oilers give are as talented or better than the two the Kings send this way?
Gross. - Maxbone
Ya at the time it looks Horrid but Remember this JJ would look great on our PP i know he's a mess in his own end but he is a top 4 guy. As for Bernier he has looked good in His reps he has got.
As for Gags he's a quality #2 yes. Hemmer is a UFA who probably won't be here next year. Martindale would never crack the Lineup if we have Nuge Or Grigs/Gal and the pick is kinda like sorry for making you look stupid Dean. |

I really don't think Johnson and Bernier have more value than Hemsky and Gagner. Gagner is the best all-around asset in this deal. Johnson is strong offensively and weak defensively, and Bernier is completely unproven as an NHL starter. Hemsky is the only player on the board who has had close-to point-per-game seasons. - Maxbone
Hemsky is an injury waiting to happen who looks completely lost this year and is a UFA. Gagner has never had a 50 point season in the NHL. Johnson gives almost as much offense from the blue line that Gagner does. Bernier has tons of value even if he is unproven.
If you seriously believe the Kings would make this deal, then I hope to hell Burke is on the phone with Lombardi, offering Grabovski and something else, to get Bernier and Johnson, heck he can even throw in a third rounder |

Ummm, that's like saying Eric Belanger is worth more than Gagner because he's played in more games too. |

honestly the kings don't need anymore forwards, they need a new system or a change of leadership in the room |

No, you implied that Schenn was often hurt or a healthy scratch and both are entirely false.

Really? Then what does "Speaking about being biased about your team. Does Schenn like life better in the press box, or in the trainer's room while the Leafs are playing?" mean? |

Galchenyuk is not coming straight to the NHL. He just missed the entire OHL season with an injury, so he's a year behind. He'll still go top 6 in the draft, but he won't go straight to the NHL. |
