13 of 26 games played...I remember he was sat at least once for poor play...So as I said he was not a major reason they won the cup.
Just like people talk about how Gagner's season stats are skewed due to his 8 point game, so is Seguin's playoffs due to a game where he got 3 or 4 points...so he had 3 or 4 points in his 12 games...
Marchand, Chara, Thomas...etc...these guys were the reason that the B's won... - OilHorse
I didn't say he was a major reason they won. I'm just saying he's won a Cup. As for the fact that Hall gets more playing time, that can't be argued. Hall played way more minutes last year than Seguin and is still playing more than him this season. |

Funny how you guys keep saying I'm a troll just because I don't agree that Hall is better than Seguin. I guess if I try and say the Canucks were better than the Oilers tonight I'll get accused of being called a troll too? Are you allowed opinions around here or do you have to agree that the Oilers are the best and all their players are the best in the NHL? Gimme a break. I said Seguin is better than Hall and used a couple arguments to back it up. If that makes me a troll then I'll wait for my ban. - woopstash
You come into an Oil blog, make a statement that had nothing to do with the blog, yet is inflammatory, and are confused why people think you are a troll.
Seriously??
Just think aboit it. You'll get it. |

I've been commenting here all night. I said Hall was invisible tonight then followed it by saying I think Seguin is better. That's trolling now? Really? OK, well then forget what I said about Seguin. Hall was invisible tonight. |

First Hall or Seguin would of won the cup, they just had to be drafted.
Second Hall played more mins last year, but this year Seguin plays 19+ mins a game, so he plays a little bit more then hall, and has 20 games more played then Hall, so again the edge goes to Hall.
Third look who Seguin gets to play with, If the Oilers had the D the Bs have we would be at the top of the league.
Now I think your a troll because you come in here after the Oilers lose and say Seguin better, and calm Hall was invisible, which he wasn't, because I notice his ass on the ice every time he had a shift. The guy creates chaos all the time. Did he play a good game? No he (frank)ed up alot and tried to win the game all by himself towards the middle of the game.
Edit: I know my grammar, and English suck, so dont try to make me look bad, because I know it sucks. You should see my chicken scratch I call writing.

You are missing my point.
Seguin was just along for the ride... other than one game he was a non-factor in the playoffs.
So saying that he is a better player because his team won is a silly statement.
Ok..Hall gets more playing time...hall also has a 0.875 ppg%...seguin has a 0.81 |

I think you're the one missing the point. Seguin winning a Cup has nothing to do with him being a better player. However, it's just another thing that he has that Hall doesn't. Whether or not he played any part in the win does not matter.
Of course Hall has a better points/game average. He plays way more minutes than Seguin. That was the whole point. |

If you add up games lost and the fact Hall plays a min less then him now, they should be the same. So you dont have a point there.
Anymore? |

Add up games lost? Last season Hall played 6 more minutes than Seguin a night and still logged more than 200 minutes played than Seguin on the year even with his missing games. This season Hall is averaging more than a minute per game compared to Seguin. Hall plays WAY MORE than Seguin so of course his points/game will be better. |

I doub t Hall loses sleep that he did not coast to a cup win...
seems like you are backtracking a bit....the better player would have more points dont you think...at least a better ppg%...
Hall is playing against the opposing best defences....Seguin is getting 2nd/3rd pairings...yet Hall still has a better ppg% |

I'm no backtracking one bit. You don't think Hall wishes he would have won a Cup?! You're crazy. Guys will win a Cup any way they can.
No, points/game does not prove anything. Look at some of the guys who are averaging higher points/game compared to players lower than them. If points/game were the determining factor in who the best players are then that would mean Lupul is the 3rd best left winger in the game and basically a top 10 player in the entire league. |

We can go back and forth all night long. I am, and I think most Oiler fans are very happy with Hall. Who do you cheer for again? I know its not the Bruins, because you wouldnt be in here. I am going to guess and say cow town, am I right? |

Nope. Pens fan from the Maritimes but I watch a lot of hockey. Hate the Bruins but I think Seguin is a hell of a player. I like Hall too but Seguin seems more of a complete package. |

That's what I was saying. He's in 11th right now, so does that mean he's a better hockey player than everyone below him? NO. |

Better than saying, "so far Seguin is definitely the better player".
You said what you said looking for a reaction, and you got it. You knew what would happen, so the.crying about opinions and trolling gets you no sympathy. |

Gimme a break! Breaking news: Every post on this website is someone or others opinion! Look at Cloutier's blogs. Their all his opinion but written matter-of-factually. Sorry. We should make an amendment to the code of conduct here:
All opinions must be preceded by, "In my opinion..." |
