Your proposed trade is not nearly enough....not even close. Your value for gagne far exeeds his worth.....Hem sky is injury prone and has a value of perhaps a 2nd rounder .....Gagne may develop into a 65 point center.....but that package ain't close...just saying..... |

Kopitar, Richards, and Gagne... oh my. Too many centers. We need top line wingers.
Yeah I know Hemsky is in there, but he's an injury, not a winger. |

That is too much a gamble for the Kings. Id rather just keep playing 1 goal games. Or take a bigger gamble on Nash or Carter. I do like Gagner, but not to sure how good he could play at wing. There is no doubt that Hemsky is worth more than I would be willing to pay for him. |

I agree.. the value for the available players right now is just disgusting. You guys did awesome with Grossman/Kubina. But to get Nash it's going to take your teams entire next 10 years of development. The next ten years of prospects. Your next two years of decent draft picks. The only team STUPID enough to do this is going to be Toronto. I'd love Nash.. but not for Huberdeau, Brickley, Howden, Markstrom, and a first. But this is what the NHL has become. |

I hope the Leafs do it so we can all laugh at them for Kessel Deal 2.0 . It makes me smile to think that the Leafs would have had Seguin and Hamilton on the roster next year. |

I'd rather trade him for someone like Dmitry Kulikov or maybe Justin Faulk and a pick. |

How can you still think that's a bad trade? There's only 2 guys in the LEAGUE with more goals than Kessel. That's not worth 2 firsts and a second rounder? If somebody got Nash for that price, it would be the trade of the century and Kessel has almost twice as many goals as Nash. Oh I forgot...........its the Leafs. Everybody hates on the Leafs. |

Another statement made by not realizing what's happening in the trade market. Grossman, Gill, Kubina has net great returns. Once a deal is made with a player in comparable to Hemsky ex. maybe Grabovski; TOR has a legitimate deal right now a prospect and 2nd round pick for him...then that'll also be what Hemsky may potential return for the Oilers.
As per Richard's proposal...Hemsky, Gagner, and LA's third round from Penner's deal to LA for Johnson and Bernier would be a ok deal. LA may request more in return. I would even suggest conditional 2nd round from Edmonton if Hemsky resigns in LA.
Otherwise, Gal or Gri at draft for second line centre is good ideal too, depends on which one can make immediate impact and not for Oilers to wait 2-3 years. |

I'd almost consider trading the pick for a young-ish defenseman, maybe Cam Fowler. |
|
|
|
Johnson and Bernier could likely land Jeff Carter or make up the main components in a deal for Nash.
No way in hell the Oilers get that for Gagner and a UFA. |

Why not draft Ryan Murray? |
|
|

I think Cloutier is way over valuing Gagner, He's a good player but by no means would he be worth Schenn, plus. I don't even think I would do Schenn straight up. |

Kings already have 1 underachieving forward in Penner, Kings don't need another in Hemsky.. |

imo that is a horrible deal for the kings. Hemsky and Gagner are mre playmakers. The KIngs need pure goal scorers. See Carter or Nash. I say Carter to kings for Bernier and Richardson. THen Nash to Philly for JVY, Courtier and Coburn. Vermette and Umberger will be moved as well. Colorado, Toronto and Wash probly the best fits. Maybe Vermette for Gunnersson? Umberger for a 1st rounder to col? |

or say Sbisca? Sbisca and a 1st (top 10) for edm 1st (top 3)this way they can get another solid d man in the draft. |

Outside of 1 game. Gagner has 29 points on the season. He's worth next to nothing. Not even a top 6 forward on the Leafs. |
