Reimer isn't going to carry this team, Gustavvson is a much better prospect that reimer imo, ive always been a big gus fan. Reimer can't stop a beachball if you throw it anywhere near the top of the net.

Look at St Louis's needs. I can't really see who they would want for Halak from us.
Considering what they traded for him i don't see them wanting a huge return.

well Varlamov went for a top 10 1st rounder and top 10 2nd rounder. I think most if not all scouts would rate Schnieder and Rask higher then him. A package built around Schenn or Gardiner

Indeed, Even not knowing what Rask would have been, Rask was a 7th overall pick? Why the hell would you trade your 7th overall for Andrew Raycroft. Still makes me sick man, i'd do the Kessel trade 2x over if it meant i could take back this one.

i'd consider it.. depending on the prospect. maybe see if they'll leave our cupboard alone and go with gunnar and a 2nd.. or something in that neighbourhood.

right.. and a 30 goal center, a prospect defenseman who can play most teams top 4 right now, a back up goalie, and a decent draft pick clearly wouldn't cover that need.

He has proven he can play in big games and have a very acceptable save % and GAA for a #1 goalie. He'd have alot more proven if he wasnt behind Luongo. The canucks have to trade Schnieder eventually, the kid is gonna want money or #1 spot at some point... And trading Lu..... impossible.

just plain to unproven.. let someone else gamble. it's not like we're desperate to pay a price like that for a goalie, like it's the last piece we need to win a cup. rather keep our assets and be patient...
