of course. Close to having a perrenial playoff lineup. Nobody' ever that close to the cup. Look how many low seeds have gone to the final.

how many have won?

Was at the game tonight, Gardiner is going to be a great player! Smooth skater and great patience with the puck, one bright spot for the Leafs tonight.

sure.. guess that makes guys like bogosian a bust to? pietrangelo? think schenns played more games then them?

people need need to breathe. he's 22. most kids that play his type of defender can't even crack the (frank)ing nhl by the time their 22.

- joel878

Bogo perhaps but Peterangelo? Give your head a shake. And I don't care who has played more games.

I think grabbing Parise this offseason would be a better move than overpaying for Rick Nash. Also grabbing some key role players this offseason should be a priority along with a #1 goalie. Burke has enough assets to get what he wants the thing is will he pay up for the players.

Yup, the Leafs were a disgrace tonight! I just about threw a beer bottle through my TV after the Canucks scored right after Lombardi's BRUTAL failed clearing attempt.

The Canucks played like a division leading team, while the Leafs looked nowhere near a team interested in fighting for the playoffs.

Nothing more to say... WE (frank)ING SUCKED!

What's even scarier is our week ahead of us before the deadline. Thankfully they're all home games, but all tough and hungry opponents.

Close to a playoff team, not close to the cup.
- whosyodaddy

If we can somehow play defense (help to have a true #1 goalie ) and somehow have a decent PK a whole season maybe we can win something because the offense is not the problem

I've said since last summer that Parise end up in Minny. I believe Gillis takes a run at him, and Burke. It will come down to Kings and Wild and Minny will get him Parise has already said money matters.

he says it is clearly sarcasm but I don't get it. Does he mean most 22 yr olds do crack the line up or that Schenn sucks.

That would be scary but i doubt he moves to one of the Division rivals. Toronto has a chance but Minny is already the leader. I wouldn't be surprised to see him resign.

wtf are you talking about. Schenn is an alright player. He's just not near the player Burke or half the leaf fans make him out to be. Dude is Adam Foote, nothing wrong with that. But he is a #4 d man. Thats all, thats it. He has value, he is clearly an nhl d man. But certainly not a player any decent team builds around

The leafs still win that deal. Throw in a 2nd

The more i think about it, the more I like Carter. He would be cheaper.. burkes 2 best deals (Phaneuf and Lupul) were for players at low value. He scored 46 playing with Lupul in Philly.

Dont empty the cabinets and rip out the shelves for Nash.

He's not a top 4 right now.

I think he'll be a pretty good 2nd pairing dman when he's seasoned.

He has lead all Dmen in hits for a year and a half, and this year with wayy less icetime. Which is more because of bad coaching than bad play on the ice.

Im watching the Kings game and they look awful and in desperate need of some wingers and a fast scoring centre.

Grabo and McCarthur for Bernier, Penner and Clifford

Would you do that?

McCarthur won't repeat last year's performance and Grabo likes toronto so who's to say he won't consider signing this offseason back with us!

it was intended to show the different ranges in how defenseman make it at the nhl level by the age of 22. bogosian hasn't done much, but he's there. pietrangelo didn't really get to play in the nhl at all until last year... but he's a stud. schenn has been there since the age of 18, playing a style that historically requires quite a bit of maturity at the nhl level, and the jury is still out.

do you need a (frank)ing picture drawn man?

we'll see NY can afford him just by dumping Wolski and trading Dubinsky for something decent and cheaper
