5 Teams behind the Leafs - 6pts or less - if just 1 team catches fire out of those 5
- MTL1[Wsh, WPG, TB, NYI, MTL]
the Leafs will lose the 8th sport
lmao FLA is like 1 or 2 points ahead of the Leafs. The same goes for you |

Schenn, Reimer for Khabibulin + offensive prospect (a good one) - Sundin113
Wouldn't cost this much. And theres no way in hell i'd send Schenn to a team with that many young prospects already, they'd scare the frank out of me.
I think that Blacker + Reimer + 2nd would get it done. |

What if paajarvi is coming back? i personally think he can become a great offensive threat - Sundin113
if the word bust is floating around about schenn.. (insert inevitable assumption about paajarvi here)
1 goal in 37 games. we've already invested enough in schenn. i would prefer to see him not get traded unless it's in a deal for an obvious upgrade, and a guaranteed part of the core for the forseeable future. |

that's what i said Gillis would Take Grabovski+Gus+Gardiner+ a 2nd anytime for him i know the leafs overpay on that one but we need a goalie and Vancouver gets Depth plus a great stud D-Man for the future - Kuleminator
that deal doesn't help vancouver. WE are what top 3 or 4 in goals scored. Grabo doesn't fill a need. We don't need prospects now. Your window to win is only open so long. Making a deal like this doesn't make the canucks better right now. They gain a bit of scoring but lose a great insurance policy if lu gets hurt or goes awol. Not a chance Gillis makes that deal |

too much in my opinion Schneider might be good but still unproven i will not give up 2 first and Kulemin for him - Kuleminator
I'd give you Gardiner + Grabo + Gus + 2nd for Schnieder anyday.
But would BB? Probably not.
Plus i really do think Grabo stays with Toronto. |

Absolutely, but with trades you never know. Gm's get under pressure and make bad deals all the time. It's fun thinking about what possibly could happen. If Schenn is traded Burke will get something back.. and that piece will be a top player or goalie |

Kulimen and a first then? I see the Nucks asking for more though. - Sundin113
not a chance van does that. Makes us worse right now, and we are all in too win right now |

what r you trying to say? that a young player could fail? Sure he could. Same could be said for Schenn or Gardiner. Gardiner has played what 50 games, quite a few protected minutes? Schenn has struggled mightaly this season. I just don't know how you can say that one young player is a risk and the next isn't or that he's gonna be great. - Kaptainkesler
because you guys aren't demanding a non guaranteed young player for a non guaranteed young player, follow?
you guys are hammering the boards touting your non guaranteed player for packages that include our only 30 goal center, high end draft picks, and the 2 brightest defensive prospects our team has seen in the last decade or two.
i'm just saying that no matter how you want to spin it, if i'm in charge.. i don't want to invest a package of our brightest players for an unproven (25 year old) youngster.. when there's goalies out there who are more accomplished and will come with a cheaper price tag. |

Schneider is gone after this year.... so one day or another Gillis is gonna pull the trigger sincer he is RFA he will not resign to warm the bench again would you ? |

i don't pass gardiner for really anything...
remember what varlamov went for? i think even he was probably worth more than schneider. he's younger, and at least he had the reigns of a team for a certain period in his career.
varlamov went for a two firsts, i don't pay more than say aulie and a 1st for schneider... or a 1st and a 2nd. doesn't fit their needs? oh well.. |

umm you better check your facts. Vancouver has arbitration rights on Schnieder, he goes no where this summer if the deal isn't right. Besides there are a boat load of teams needing a starting goalie, I bet there would be plenty of action on him |

bang on. burkie knows what he has in schenn, and has proven more than once that he won't have his hand forced at the deadline. i wouldn't be suprised to see burkie stand pat other than a small deal or two.. but if schenn is involved.. i'm confident it'll be for a young quality player that the team is lacking now. |

Mc Neill and a first is a good deal to Me we Have too many D-Men anyway we could start 2 teams
Schenn-Phaneuf-Komi-Gunnar-Blacker-Percy-Aulie-Franson-Liles-Gardiner- the list goes on |

the stench of this place changes so fast. I swear to god last year Stamkos was not even worth dealing Schenn to you people. |

sure it's a good deal... but i'm not dealing schenn just for the sake of dealing schenn. if i'm looking for a deal just for the sake of moving a blueline.. i'll take the smaller return in the form of gunnar or aulie. schenn has the higher ceiling, and should be kept unless the return is part of a package that brings in a cam ward (just an example) type player.. not for futures..
just my opinion. |
