Thank god the Leafs never acquired a good player... - Flyfreaky
This has nothing to do with the leafs. This is a league wide thing......Every team does this.....and that is why we have to contract issues we have in this league..... |

Bryz for Kindl... |
|

He has been excellent in Phoenix for two and a half years - PatrickB17
Bryzbalov appears to be one of those guys who can fly under the radar and shine in a small market, but then can't handle the spotlight of a big city.
It's not just hockey. You see that all the time in most sports. |

NO f'n way - shmenge
Thats a terrible trade I agree. IN 2 years, Schenn is more valubale than Nash, and it would be dumb to give up on Kadri. |

On what planet is a stay-at-home defenceman more valuable than a guy capable of 40+ goals? |

It's such BS? Dude I have seen Richards and Carter in Philly bars over 10 times over their time here. There is no BS about it at all. So much so that the Flyers brass spoke to both of them about their partying. Which is a FACT.

Realistically,
Schenn + Kulemin + MacArthur + Kadri/Colborne + a 1st - Urethra Franklin
Sure, realistically it would require this (if they'd take it) but we wouldn't be a better team with Nash and losing all these players/future players than we'd be with just continuing developing.
I've said this a million times, but I'd rather attempt to get Parise in the offseason using the 7.8 we'd give Nash AND keep all the above assets.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Leafs take a run at Suter. He's Kessel's best friend. |

Its like the people who used to deny that the Oilers were hard partiers. Those 80s teams were great, but ask the locals, those guys partied their asses off. Its probably the only reason they never set a lot of team winning streak records: they couldn't go that long without getting wasted. |

I don't think any team is gonna take that contract...They will have to buy him out... - Flyfreaky
Not to mention I doubt Bryz would waive his NMC to go into purgatory.... errr, I mean Columbus. |

I agree. I wasn't saying he's doing a good job in Philly, I was just saying the guy knows how to stop pucks, no doubt he can be a good goalie, he has to play where nobody will recognize him and where the average attendance is 8000 per game, so he doesn't have to deal with pressure |

Nash doesnt look like a 40 goal scorer to me. His contract makes him one of the most over rated players in the league. Luke Schenn is 22 and is going to get much better. A number one or two D is always going to be more valuable than a FORMER 40 goal centre. |

I dunno. A guy like him seems to thrive in anonymity. He'd have that in Columbus. |

really, I never heard that before. How do you know? I would love Suter. 100x better addition, and less expensive, than Nash |

Steve Simmons is the worst hockey writer in the business. He makes Glenn Healy look like Scotty Bowman. Kessel is a better player than Nash. He has more goals/points in the last three years. And is faster. Kessel for Nash would be a horrible, garbage, disgusting trade. But, it will never even be considered. In conclusion, Steve Simmons is an even bigger moron that Damien Cox. - Jimmy_T
Uhhh. I'm pretty sure Nash is better than Kessel, but I'd rather have Kessel because of the similar production rate and 2 million less on the contract.
Oh, and whenever the camera pans to him, it reminds me of Michael Keaton in Beetle Juice. |
