Because they would actually be saving money
If Columbus is dumb enough to take Bryz, I'd package him with just about anything to make it happen. - mochoson
As Ek points out, Mr Universe has a NMC. Good luck with convincing him to go to the league's worst team in the exquisite location of Columbus, Ohio. |

I told you they needed to move him while he had that somewhat mediocre momentum...This game ruined everything...I think they should buy him out... |

Mason with his head screwed on and a team that actually plays positional defensive hockey is a good goalie. That said, so is Bryz....the problem is that both have lost their game...and have gotten into their own heads too much...
I would be open to the deal but I want a change behind the bench in Philadelphia more than seeing Bryz moved. |

Not buying it. And as sick as it would be, I don't even want the nucks to get Nash. 7.8/ with the production he puts up?
Wouldn't be surprised if he increased his production with change of scenery and being surrounded by the right players, but I'm not paying a guy 7.8 before I see that. And Gillis wouldn't either. |

Why the hell would the Flyers need Nash? It's obvious where they need help. We were all led to believe Bryz was the missing piece. Apparently not. |

how would that trade make any sense for CBJ? - NYrangerfan521
a young power forward (who could turn into a nash like player) , a starting goalie (might be haveing a bad year but he is a top goalie), and a first round pick (could be anything).
CBJ should really think about it. |

So, for Nash and a better goalie than you have, you want to trade JVR, a prospect from a farm system that isn't that strong, a second string goalie in Bob and a late first round pick? I see, the quantity over quality thought process. |

Looks good on Philly. The play of Bryzgalov is called KARMA. Holgren deserves to be saddled with a mentally incompetant basket case for the next ten years. FULL NO MOVEMENT CLAUSE. Somewhere, Jeff Carter is laughing his ass off. Its completly unconsciable that the big H signed his two best players to 10 year deals and then turned around and traded them. Guy is the biggest piece of ___ in the NHL. I guarentee that Philly loses to Toronto in the first round. |

Jeff Carter is laughing his ass off? The entire league is currently laughing at that idiot... wtf are you talking about?
The trades were strong trades fort he Flyers and their future. Those 10 year deals make Richards and Carter more attractive with the low cap hits. They were both great trades, almost every Flyers fan would agree as well. |
