Sunshine,

with a 1.74 GAA and .937 SV% for Skelleftea this season good for 2nd in the SEL this season.

Basically sign him again (should've never been let go to begin with imo).

He recently inked an extension w/ SkellefteƄ.

According to cap geek, with the addition of Kubina, and figuring MAB returns to Adirondack, it leaves the Flyers with under 1 million in cap space.
- PLindbergh31

Could move Shelley down also and free up more space.

Whitney is a pretzel. Carle is durable at least.
- PLindbergh31

Just as far as leaving much to be desired given their skill sets. Short term losing Carle would hurt Philly, but I think for what he will probably be looking for it might be best long term to not pay the cost.

Has an NHL out-clause, however.

Why would they scratch Kaliaski and not trade him right away?
- jesustouchedme

Perhaps they have a deal in place for him but are kicking the tires on a few others.

Some maniac will give him 5+ million per year. I'm guessing in the ballpark of Wisniewski.

Is it me or has Carle not been the same since Pronger went down. Pronger seems to have that affect on his partners.
- Gunner Staal

Carle has been paired with the "replacement of the week" almost every game and has actually had a pretty good season this year and last without Pronger.

Wishful thinking. He's here for the duration, if nothing else to annoy the hell out of me.

John Buccigross tweeted like a month ago he thinks 6M/yr. I know his opinion isn't the end all be all but it is still relevant.

I dont think it will happen but it does give them an option to free up his cap space.

Claude Giroux had his worst game on a flyers uniform today. Two turnovers directly leading to goals.

Homer seems to have already decided to let Carle walk this summer -- Grossman will have to be play pretty badly to not get a nice extension from the Flyers.

And for all the Nash talk... if Pronger can't continue his career, would you rather spend $7.8M a year on Rick Nash or Shea Weber?

Probably have to get the trade approved by Virtua Health before it goes through.

If he gets 6 million per year, Suter will get a max contract. 6 million per for a dman with that many weaknesses is insanity.

I would say Weber but I think thats at a 1% chance of happening. If they dont resign Suter I would make that number even less.

Today was just stunning.

If Bryzgalov has any honor, he won't cash his paychecks.

I wonder if Timonen is going to say anything.
