I wouldn't consider it period, that's too much. It's just being done to drive up the price to maximize the return they want.
- ob18

JvR, Bob, and a pick for Nash is something I would consider. You would think the Flyers would want Mason in the deal also unless they have plans on bringing up a goalie from the Phantoms for the rest of the year.

Noway would I move Schenn or Courturier. That asking price makes it too high imo.

Seriously? This is what you're worried. My mistake but geez. The point is a bad call was made. Out of everything I typed out, this is what bothered you the most.
- Schenn2shine

I was asking because Timonen left the game early and it was reported as an injury. If he got a game misconduct it would have eased my mind a bit.

Behind all of the controversy of this game... Timonen leaving injured has gone unmentioned.

No question about it. Even as bad as Bryz was today the score was tied 3-3 heading into the 3rd period. The Flyers were in control of the game today for the most part and just didnt do a good job in the last period. Thats the frustrating part is if they would play solid 60mins of hockey win or lose I could be happy. Very hard to be happy and excited when you play a terrible third period and get dismantled on home ice like that. Its just one game and hopefully they can turn things around next game.
- stveshdy

Well of course they will turn things around next game. They aren't going to lose 4 in a row against the Winnipeg Jets.

I can't believe the team wasn't able to overcome 5 soft goals. I mean unreal. Bryzgalov is being scapegoated.

Detroit has won 22 games in a row at home, half of it with Joey Mcdonald, and Ty Conklin, meanwhile this team can't win 2 home games in a row.

There is no way the Flyers are going to give up any two of JvR, Schenn, Couturier to get anyone. 2/3 of those players will absolutely be on the Flyers roster after the TDL.

JvR, Bob, 1st is the furthest I would go if I was the Flyers.

Kimmo got dinged in the third period, went to the bench grimacing and didn't play after that.

It looked like an upper body injury, he seemed to be skating well, and he is a warrior, doubt he'll miss any games.

half of these moves don't make sense b/c it doesn't clear enough cap space.

Jets are tough at home,
but the Flyers are good on the road.
It will be a good game.

I didn't notice because I can't hear the games when I watch them but that is a huge blow. Timonen is pretty good at shaking injuries off. We'll have to wait and see.

Yes, my opinion on Bob is that he is a career backup.

I dont know how you come to that conclusion, but ok.

Kimmo did not get a game misconduct. He came back to be the one most responsible for the 4rth goal. In general, he seemed pretty frustrated out there today, numerous scraps, not his usual efficient self.

Holmgren said after the game there were no injuries. So either Timonen was benched, or was just sitting due to the fact it was garbage time.

Bryzgalov was terrible today. I have no problem saying that. He let in soft goals all game long, there is no way to defend it. All I am saying is the Flyers were still tied 3-3 after two periods today and were in a position to win the game.

He was in pain, I guess nothing serious, which is good.

When he is netting 50 goals a year with Giroux you may change that thought.

In my opinion Nash has all the downside and none of the upside. If he plays great, well he better with a contract in the Crosby/Malkin realm. But he is at best mediocre defensively, and he has hardly played in the playoffs.

Indeed the score was tied 3-3 after two periods. And then 2 soft goals allowed by Bobrovsky in the third period sealed the teams fate.

Yup. Can't afford to lose him. He's struggled since the all-star break. As has mostly everyone on the team.

Kinda like how we traded Carter so we could sign Bryz so we could have a legit number one goalie?

Yeah. Lots of ideas sound good on paper.

The goaltending was bad today. I thought the Flyers did a nice job defensively today but struggled with passes on the PP. A goalie gets paid to make the basic stops and neither did that today.
