That whole paragraph completely undermines the basic fundamentals of team sports. That statement is just lacking in an understanding in actual team dynamics. Especially in Hockey where goalies have had games like this and bounced back. You're statement is beyond misinformed. I'm sorry. I never played pro-sports but I did wrestle varsity in Highschool, played all the other sports all the way into my highschool years. You never quit on a team mate. Especially one who has shown you he can play great which Bryz has more times than not. GO look at what he does in his wins vs losses. he's hot and cold in hockey with goalies you deal with it.

Pretty much was typing the same thing as you, at the same time.

And it's not a bash at you Isaiah. I feel your frustration.

Oh well, time to proceed with my weekend instead of worrying about "professional" goaltenders who can't stop a beach ball.

You said it last weekend, you've got it again this one. Tonight seems like a good night for a high quality beer of some sort.

Theres two directions for this team to go: up or down. My opinion they have too much talent to head in the wrong direction. They are struggling as a team and need to get better. Bryz was not very good today and pretty much this entire season but im not giving up on him or the team bc I believe if they keep working hard good things will happen.

I'm not bashing him I'm sure he's a great person and all but I just think the sentiment is misinformed. You can't quit on a slumping team mate. If the flyers are that mentally weak then forget it. I'm frustrated too. believe me I was cursing out Bryz in my living room but at the end of the day you go back to the drawing board and start over.

This game was simply draining. Just like that Jersey game. All Rangers games. However, nothing will ever compare to the Leighton goal in game 6. That...was...the...worst...ever.

I'm not disagreeing with this statement, but when you are playing in an actual game, and I mean out on the ice taking your shift, you don't have time to think about who's in net. You just play. So if the poor play is affecting the player's "motivation" to play hard and smart, then Houston we have another problem. They are dwelling on it too much on the bench. How one team mate, even a goalie, plays, should not affect the effort put forth by the rest of the team. And maybe it's not the whole team that's affected, but maybe the "leaders" are and it trickles on down. It is a tough one though because we are all human after all.
- rockychocbill

the players go into the game knowing they have less margin for error than most other teams and it becomes a syndrome. the flyers had that syndrome last yr and they have it again. they are psyched out by it...it's human nature.

I feel like giving up on Bryz isn't even an option. He makes my calling as an optimist difficult. Still, hope does spring eternal.

I say we take a page from Mr. Baseball, and start shooting golfballs at Bryz.

....You have a whole in your swing.

.... Bryz has a whole in the pads.. Stop golfball.... Stop puck...

Two options for Bryz to be moved:

1- The Bench
2- Trade if he waives it

He is our guy right now. The team needs to keep working hard reguardless. They have the talent to be very good. If they figure out a way to play better defense and get some decent goaltending the sky is the limit.

Wouldn't that mean we're stuck with half of his cap hit 2.8M for 2x the remainder of the contract, if he gets picked up right? What is that, like 20 years of 2.8M for nothing?

There's little margin for error for any NHL team these days. What's being tested is the team's resiliency to keep coming back. They trailed 2-1 and then went up 3-2. It was tied 3-3 after two periods and we didn't make much of a peep in the third. Game was only 5-3 with 18 minutes left to go. Can't quit playing.
