If the goalie made the routine saves, the turnovers would be a non factor. Why that's so hard to understand for you, I'm not so sure.

That's like a pitcher making a bad pitch, and then the first baseman whiffs on the routine grounder to 1st, and you blaming the pitcher for it.

- feelingkettle

No. That's what you're incapable of understanding. If a pitcher makes a bad pitch and the 1B whiffs, you blame the pitcher AND the 1B. I'm fine with that logic. I've been employing it all year. My issue is with the posters (you included) that ONLY blame the goalie. When Giroux makes a stupid pass that forces Timonen to hook a player on a breakaway, you blame BOTH PLAYERS. It's not that hard of a concept. Accountability. Just like you expect the goalie to bail out the player's bad pass; the player needs to bail out the goalie by not putting him in a position to stop a breakaway.

Breakaways happen, and it's the goalies job to stop them. But the unnecessary breakaways that result from the unnecessary blind passes do NOT need to happen. But keep pointing the finger at Bryz, by all means. It fits right in with the rest of the Flyers fanbase.

Its interesting how players react if you him them hard, esp. smaller players. Could Roo's bad play today and stupid passes have anything to do with two nasty hits early on? And on the 4rth goal, Timmo was hammered hard and made a stupid backhand pass towards his own goal.

Breaking New

Rick Nash reportedly refused to waive his NMC, after watching today's game. Saying I would rather stay in Columbus then be on the same team as humongous

Whenever there is a question about what is worse, the answer is always Bryzgalov regardless of what the question is.

They both stink!

Not as bad as Bryz or Bob today, though.

I expect my goalie to make a routine save if a player turns it over. Turnovers are going to happen. Might as well had an empty net on those plays.

Agree completely. I don't even care about what happens the rest of this game, I'm so disappointed in Bryz's effort today.

Bobrovsky has been brutal too, no question.

Bryzgalov however is supposed to be the #1. The big paid man. The guy.

He has failed them time after time, to have a kid in his second year in the NHL try and come in and save this team. Its getting really predictable.

Off to work hooligans. Only a matter of time before the rainbow and skittles crew try and defend Bryz. He was brutal and has been all season. Weak goal after weak goal. Those are killer, and need to stop. The goals he let in today sucked everything out of the team, as they would out of any team in the league. They were pucks that most NHL goaltenders stop, and the level of difficulty on stopping them was very low.

But lets let the rainbow and skittles crowd have its fun. SInce we get called the haters or something haha.

Good day hooligans, and good hockey.

horrendous goaltended completely changed this game. i thought the team was playing a solid game and were on their way to 2 pts. bad goals completely changed that on teh scoreboard and has now taken a toll on the teams effort. you can see they are no longer in this one from the first goal in the 3rd.

yes they had some break downs and some dumb plays on the goals. you usually cant blame the goalie for getting beat on a break down (just hope he bails you out more often than not) but every sinlge goal today easily stoppable regardless of the breakdowns and needs to be stopped. inexcussable goaltending.

goaltending lost this game.

So from what it sounds like is that Columbus is trying to get Schenn and Couturier for Nash? (according to Tim P)

I was wondering the same thing, not like Claude to turn it over on the pp like that. And Kimmo with all his teamate bashing should try bashing himself as he has not been good since making the bash
