come over? both Grigorenko and Galchenyuk are currently playing in the CHL, so they are already here. The best kinds of russians, and they both have size.
Galchenyuk has slipped in the rankings because of the injury to his knee, but is likely as good if not better than Grigorenko. Seems more driven. I love vanek, have from day 1. But he doesn't seem to have that fire, desire to win, kinda goes through the motions. Grigorenko seems like that kind of player also (as does Joel Armia our 1st rounder from last year ) drafting simply based on talent is foolish, the intangibles need to be considered also, the drive, the heart, the desire to win, all things this team already clearly lacks, so why draft another lazy player? I say go for Galchenyuk - ScaryGood
Vanak dosen't have the desire or fire...have you watched him play the last two years. he is only one of a couple guys that show any passion and fire

Took my a while to figure out who Vavak is....but if you mean Vanek IDK if I agree. He is very good when he wants to be....problem is he doesn't wanna be enough.
In the offensive zone, i agree with you, he does work really hard. Neutral zone? Defensive zone? hes just frustrating to watch, and i've noticed lately also takes alot of stupid penalties because of laziness. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy, i sunk 200+ into a jersey with his number and name on it, I just get frustrated cause i see the potential the guy has, and sometimes he just doesn't live up to it. I dont care about the contract its not his fault i don't hold that against him, I just think if he is gonna be the best player on this team he needs to play a better 200 foot game. I think this has to do with Lindy also, the two clash often, a change of coaching i think would benefit nobody more than Vanek - ScaryGood
he didnt prove anything different...until last night - Homer
you have more insight but i have to believe the organization told him to calm down and play a more responsible game. and i'm sure his agent has said if he wants to make money in this league he can't be reckless.

I think the kid took a hit after his issues last year and was overcompensating in an effort to stay out of trouble.
Looks like the levee broke last night-

Wrong. They want him to fight. They tell him flat out if he wants to stay around he needs to be more physical and drop the gloves once in a while.
If his agent tells him that than his an idiot. He isn't Crosby, he is Kassian and he needs to play like his hair is on fire if he wants to play in the league long term.
FYI, they think his first fight against Martin was staged.

I don't know if it's a case of that "he doesn't want to be". To me, it's more of a situation where, if things are going right, he's near unstoppable. When they aren't, he seems to get discouraged, and grips the stick way too tightly, and then he becomes snakebit. He needs a more even keel to his game.

probably right, he is just very hard on himself too, which leads to what you just said
His body of work does not suggest he is better than Roy..........so you want another undersized center here? Ok,knock yourself out. - Homer
I want good players on my team i dont care if they are undersized or not...If you help get that little black disk in the net and you are a team player and play your a$$ off, i could two sh!ts how big you are....
I remember getting BLASTED for saying Gerbe was never gonna make it......
Boyes, Hecht, Gerbe, Goose, Stafford, Roy, McCormick all need to be gone..I DONT CARE WHO THEY GET TO REPLACE THEM....I just wanna watch NEW GUYS suck....
If Matt Ellis EVER plays another game for us.....disgraceful
Its called an opinion. and i formed it from watching games. There is more to a wingers game then work in the offensive zone where he is no doubt effective. But what i see away from the puck, when its not in the other teams end, is less than impressive.

there is a lot more ot hockey than getting the little black disc in the net. I do give a sh!t how big you are. You can have a few smallish guys, sure..but not to many because the Playoffs are a nasty game, every other day, for 2 months if you want the prize. The smaller more skilled team got their arse kicked by the bigger, nastier team last year.
