Security: "No corrective lenses tonight Mr Papageorgio?"
Rusty: "No sir, I do not require them."

Fail. That guy plays hard. 99% the time. He has been one of our few best players since he started playing full time. Give him a G-Damn Center and you will see 100 points from that guy. He gets his goals the hard way and he isn't oft injured. find another guy to compare to.
- Full Throttle

In the offensive zone, i agree with you, he does work really hard. Neutral zone? Defensive zone? hes just frustrating to watch, and i've noticed lately also takes alot of stupid penalties because of laziness. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy, i sunk 200+ into a jersey with his number and name on it, I just get frustrated cause i see the potential the guy has, and sometimes he just doesn't live up to it. I dont care about the contract its not his fault i don't hold that against him, I just think if he is gonna be the best player on this team he needs to play a better 200 foot game. I think this has to do with Lindy also, the two clash often, a change of coaching i think would benefit nobody more than Vanek

Mendoza skated alot like Vaclav Varada, can't stop.
However mendoza was much faster.

I'm sure the actor who played Mendoza probably had better hands too.

A player of mine said he hurt his wrist (it wasn't bad) I made him do the stick test and told him to sleep on it. I dont think he got the reference.

Did anyone else see Stafford get a ear full from lindy? Stafford was saying something like yea whatever coach. Seems like another sign lindy has lost this team.
- Cpilc

Stafford said back, "I know! I know!" while staring straight ahead. Ruff was really giving it to him.

GM, players, AND coach all need to change.

How does Lindy still have a job? His players come out night after night and put in no effort.
- maddog

I think its more like how does Darcy still have a job. The players he gives Lindy to work come out night after night and don't give the effort.

completely Agree... I would not be afraid of the injury to the knee at all (although the replay looked horrible) I just love his size and speed. Not to mention he's not your 'typical Russian' Pretty sure he was gonna play with Team USA in the World Juniors until the injury...
- bmhumby

I heard during the tournament that he would have played for Russia, regardless, i like that he was born here (North America) in Wisconsin and his dad played professional hockey here and was a journeyman, hard worker. The kid just seems to have that fire that makes the best players in the league the best. I just don't want to bank the future on a potential Yashin or Kovalev who were both some of the most skilled players in the league when they were in the NHL, but just never seemed to care to get put the tools they had to use. Heart and Hustle will win you the cup over finesse and flare any day of the week, look at last years stanley cup. the canucks lost cause they simply couldn't match the bruins compete level (that and cause luongo is a bag of poop )

I have never yet in my playing days hurt my wrist (knock on wood)... It would suck for me becuase all i have is my deke to my backhand and an accurate wrist shot....

The one move i had was i would hold the puck to my forehand then deke to my backhand top shelf.... Easy move but i swear between my senior year in high school and my Freshman year at MCC i scored 25 goals that way....

At least Kassian sacked up and dropped a heavyweight. That's good right? Sorry, hard to find many positives on this team.

I don't quite buy it. You don't have a job for that long without a significant say as to who is on your team and who isn't. At the very least, the working relationship would have been severed years ago.

Weren't you one of the guys yesterday saying that you thought Kassian was a soft S.O.B and how useless he was?

Kassian should be on the second line next year IMO

That was awesome. It was the biggest positive of the night. Good to see he's willing to go, because I was starting to have my doubts.

I dont think either Lindy or Darcy should still have jobs, but I still blame Darcy more than Lindy.

nope, wasn't me, try again.

Never called him soft or useless.

People in the organization think he is a fraud as a tough guy though, and from what I've seen (or havent seen) I can see why they think that.

My opinion is to avoid highly rated russian prospects. Go Highly rated Canadian Center. IMHO.
