They got the new owner last year... and in his first year this happens?

If I were him. Later Ruff. Later Regier(?). Later everybody.

I would be selling hard. Not a single person is untouchable. Nobody, and Id make it be known.

They have a couple of really bad contracts in Leino and Erhoff, they're basically unmoveable

Tweeted this last night: Sesisto's fights remind me of "Bruise Brother" Daryl Stanley's bouts in the mid-1980s. He throws a lot of punches and can score a quick win if one connects but he tends to miss a lot and eventually the other guy catches him because he leaves himself vulnerable.

This is why I love you....Friday morning, enjoying a cup of joe, and you bring out a Bruise Brothers reference

Nice win. Glad they drank some Red Bull after the first period. It will be interesting to see Grossman play. Don't know too much about him other than what a few people of said on the boards.

I would've love to be a fly on the wall to hear Lavy rant.

Bill, is this your doing? You been in Homer's ear with your expert analysis of both teams ?

I really like the move. I agree it's fair, neither too easy or hard, value for the type of D man and situation we found ourselves in. He's a big guy that can play defensive D. It's what we needed. I just hope that come playoff time he can get a mean streak going and punch a couple guys in the face.

No, Matthew Barry threatened to burn Holmgren's house down if he didn't trade for Grossman.

Another Kings shutout loss. I believe their 8th of the season. I can't wait until they drop below the 2 goals per game average.

Very true, I liked Leino, he seems really lost playing in Buffalo, doesn't control the puck like he did with the flyers

He was good for about 45 games, combined, in his days here. The crazy thing to me is that when he was on he was one of the best players on the ice in all three zones.

After the quick start for both I could have seen 20 and 12 maybe but not this.

Kings fans said Simmonds was a 3rd liner who would score 15 tops. I guess that's why they're Kings fans

It's a sin that Kings fans have to read that crap.

I'm sure any Kings fan worth his salt doesn't.

Wonder how long a poster would get banned for threatening to track down a blogger and burn down a his house? Unreal. Guy is a basket case.

I just watched the game after an insane night at work, and while I don't agree with the fools at WIP, there is something to be said for the team coming out flat at home again. That was a brutal first period, one that would likely be fatal against a playoff caliber team. The second and third period were obviously much better in every aspect.

Would have love to been a fly on the wall during the first period intermission. I'm sure Mount Lava erupted. I see that POS Kaleta running guys and not answering for it yet again.

- PLindbergh31

Actually Gusty said he told them to each be responsible for their own actions and to have fun. Whatever works, I guess.

i don't think that was just a tap in. that took some skill as hartnell had to rotate his body being a left hand shot and miller diving at the puck. great pass by read, but i honestly didn't even think hartnell would get that shot off, let alone score.
- hammarby31

I was thinking when it happened that the old Hartnell would not have connverted that. He really has gotten better and has a lot of confidence. He even falls down less.

I was cracking up when Gerbe was trying to bull rush Max. Have to give Gerbe some credit. He's game for a liliputian. Have to think he has a serious napoleon complex. The dude is so small it's ridiculous. I think he works part time standing on wedding cakes.
- PLindbergh31

Dove right for his knees. Of course, Max goaded and goaded to get him to that point.

that is exactly what i saw. kassian got leverage when he turned sestito around and then got his shot in.
- hammarby31

Seems like a lot of our fighters have issues keeping their balance during a scrap. Sestito normally does well when he can keep is feet underneath him, but both he and Rinaldo seem to have trouble staying balanced. So does Shelley at times. The only one who seems to be able to avoid that is Simmonds, and I think that's a big part of why he's so effective when he drops the gloves.

The other guys need to go back and watch that seen from Youngblood where Dean's dad teaches him how to survive on the ice.

Sustained a lower body injury from the fight?

It's probably his knees. They both buckled after getting rocked with a jarring left.
