If we somehow got Stoll and Kubina watch out
- Richieattack18

Watch for what a winger with speed fly by Kubina?

H-G-J
JVR-Briere-Simmonds
Schenn-Stoll-Voracek
Talbot-Cooter-Read

Timo-Coburn
Carle-Grossman
Kubina-Mez

THAT's a playoff lineup. Not sure it's realistic to acquire Stoll and Kubina, but its fun to think about.

stoll and johnson for carle and a pick/prospect....

I'm not a JJ guy but I got a feeling you're on to something. I've been saying they need a real 4th line center. Couturier would be better utilized playing on a better line. Yes we are at the Contract limit, so a roster player needs to go elsewhere.
I'm listening to Dreger now on NHL channel. He's saying they want either JJ or Luke Schenn. With Grossman now in the Fold I am starting to think JJ makes more sense now. Need a good balance between puck movers and stay at home guys.

Why? Bryz has been solid over the past month.

Yea we don't want to be riight back where we were with a bad mix. Right now this Dcorp should have the right makeup maybe another tweak but I like the balance Grossman gives us. Another stay at home Dman to go with our puck-moving bunch. The rest might start looking better without carrying two rookies.

I might rather look at a bottom 6 forward with some skill and size before another d-man

Stoll is intriguing. He's a good faceoff man, has a booming point shot and is a good two way player.

Him too. I don't really care about them getting a particular guy so long as he fills a perceived need. Stoll and Gaustad would fill those needs if you ask me. I just think Gaustad is more available or easier to acquire but that's just me.

If you're getting a guy, you may as well get one that is a proven face off guy...and I like Travis Moen. But I prefer Goose or Stoll, if possible.

As do I, just not sure how Goose or Stoll would work cap wise if they are trying to really not move too much from the current roster.

If I'm right which I'm usually not then the FLyers have about 3 mill in space and I think Gaustad still counts for about 700k. Right now the Flyers are at the contract max so the next trade is going to involve one of those contracts.

Right now, they can fit Gaustad without making a cap move(still have to drop a contract), and Stoll can hit if they shed Shelley

Someone asked me earlier What the Sabres would want for Gaustadbut like I told them I really am not a trade Guru. I just see needs on a team then speculate which players they should go for. Case in point I thought the flyers should go for a dman Grossman wasn't my first choice but I thought homer would have to pay a lot more than they did.

So what do you guys think it would take to get Gaustad, Moen, Stoll etc?

I just imagine Goose or Stoll since they have solid ability to win draw and play a important role they won't come cheap and as another pending UFA how do you draw the line for Homer for what you are landing that you may not be able to keep beyond this season.

I think Gaustad would cost as much as a first rounder. Stoll, I'd guess LA would want roster guys. Lombardi needs to make playoffs.

Okay and what does Homer have to do to get in compliance with the Contract limit trade a contract right? I'm assuming the contract limit extends to what's in adirondack too so they can't just put people on waivers, correct?

He could send a 1st and Testwuide for Gaustad and a 7th and be within the contract rules....contracts include anyone on a NHl contract.
