Roloson's salary is done in two months, the cost would be nil. He has the ability to be a playoff monster. He will cost next to nothing and is available. He likely retires after this year but having him if the other two crap the bed would not be all bad. In fact it might just wake Bryz up.

Yes, been a real good face off man for his career and would offer a right handed shot at the point on the power play -plus won't cost you a roster player.

They'd need to move salary back to fit him under the cap I believe to take on his just under $1 million remaining cap hit.

But he's also a UFA not too crazy about possibly adding another one in a trade.

It was Cam Ward and he didn't shoot on goal. There have been many goalies credited with goals because they were the last guy to touch it before the defensive team, which scored an own goal. But the following guys actually shot and scored.
Hexy
Osgood
Brodeur
Theodore
Nabokov

- bodiva88

the first in the nhl was billy smith - i think against the colorado rockies - and he didn't shoot it either. first minor league guy was michel plasse back in like '71 or something, and i think he did shoot it. he got to the nhl eventually but didn't have a memorable career.

They could do this with moving many non-roster players. Betts, Lilja, Shelley all come to mind. However, I hear you, something would need to give it bit.

What would everyone be willing to give up for him?

And why is LA willing to part with him?

They are also at the 50 contract limit so bodies have to be moved in any other deal they would be making.

my rebounds do need a little work. it's these new-fangled pads. they're like trampolines. nothing like 8 pounds of horse hair and leather to drop a puck dead in its tracks.
- hammarby31

I've actually learned how to deal with that quite well but know what you mean. I try to direct the rebounds to the corners. I wear reebok pz pads and love them.

I'd like to know why LA would move him if he can help them unless it's for a better player in return.

And if people like him that much they would probably want something solid to part with him.

Cant believe no one has called Homer to acquire Leighton. He can be had very cheap.

I have the same question. If they aren't sellers then why give him up for picks which is all we would want to trade for him.

Only guess would be to acquire something to perhaps use in landing something bigger. They do need scoring.

Is his contract one of the 50 that Panach tweeted about earlier? If so yea trade him b/c he probably won't clear re-entry waivers if they need to recall him.

H-G-J
JVR-Briere-Simmonds
Schenn-Stoll-Voracek
Talbot-Cooter-Read

Timo-Coburn
Carle-Grossman
Kubina-Mez

THAT's a playoff lineup. Not sure it's realistic to acquire Stoll and Kubina, but its fun to think about.
