More cap room today with Sestito going on LTIR, and Gus sent down. I think an additional 1.5 million in cap space.
- PLindbergh31

was he placed on LTI officially?

Moore to the Sharks was a nice pickup for them as well. Moore is one of those guys I just want to punch in the face every time I see him

What if you were in an elevator with Moore, Panaccio, and Eskin?

Not officially, but one would assume it's the logical move being he's out up to 2 months.

Danny Briere and Tom Sestito - to injuries. Briere appeared to injure his shoulder as he was knocked into the boards by Patrick Kaleta in the first period. Sestito may have injured his hand in a second-period fight with Zack Kassian. Briere and Sestito joined James van Riemsdyk, Chris Pronger, Jaromir Jagr, Andrej Meszaros, and Blair Betts on the injured or ill list.

van Riemsdyk, who hasn't played since Jan. 12 because of a concussion, is "getting close" according to Holmgren. "It's hard to put a timeframe on it just because of the injury he has. It just comes down to how James is feeling." - Philadelphia Inquirer/Daily News

Awesome! Good luck on your search brother!

Same old with me, I actually got called last night on a report a woman was attacked by some sort of bird of prey. She claimed a hawk swooped down out of a tree and attacked her. Just unreal sometimes...

No offense to MAB as he's done a nice job for us, but I would prefer Gustafsson in the lineup.
- LordStanley88

I would as well. MAB appears to get rattled at times while Gus seems to roll on a more even keel.

Any explanation why they choose MAB over Gustafsson?

Aside from the Bryz contract, which minus a NMC would be a good contract, Homer has been doing a heckuva job as GM. We got super value for Richie and Carter, the Jagr signing and Talbot have served their purposes, lilja was like going shopping for a donut spare to your car so no biggie, then this. Leaves the team with plenty of pieces and cap-space to make another move that Imo could put us over the top this year and years to come if cards are played right in re-singing these guys.
- JoeRussomanno

I agree but some will never be happy with a GM, who had a poop team to work with, made excellent trades and still makes good moves to keep this team competitive. Id say though Burkie might overpay for JVR if he cant make a move tho. Its not that I would want to move JVR, but hell if a guy is going to throw a nice overpayment, (frank)ing do it!

I am going to apply to another place but do far this is the line up. In March ill be busy as hell, seems alot of places out here are in a hiring rush for either State Troopers or Police Officers.

- Slammed81

I've always liked his play with the big boys too. I'd prefer to see him over Z and Shelley/Sestito/Rinaldo.

just watchin some grossman clips...

When he throws a hit it seems like guys just about always go down.
He seems pretty poised.
He isnt afraid to back down from a fight (although he doesnt seem to look for one either).

Then there is this clip. Takes a blade to the face (pretty nasty gash for the weak stomachs out there) but skates off like a boss. Totally composed!

Time and polish seem the main sticking points. If they get another vet on D, MAB will be gone. Cheaaaa

By the way, I would try the following defensive pairs:

Timonen // Coburn
Carle // Grossman
Meszaros // Gustafsson
