I was hoping Simmonds would get 20 and Talbot would get 10-12
- Jsaquella

That was what I figured would be best case scenario. Both guys have exceeded expectations already with 25 games left.

Meanwhile Mike Richards has one goal in his last 24 games, and Barry wants to burn 2Reals house down. His blog is an absolute trainwreck. I can't believe he's allowed to spew that crap.

That's one of the best things about Grossman, still $3-$3.5mm left to add pieces, more with sending guys to the AHL or if they trade a roster player.
- Jsaquella

Yep. Holmgren has cap space at the deadline for the first time. He probably doesn't know what to do with himself.

Bill you mentioned Larsen.

I really like his game, he reminds a bit of a Visnovsky lite. I think he's going to become a very good dman.

As for Gusty, even taking away his goal last night I thought he played well. He made a couple nice plays and he can fly out there if he needs to join the rush or get his ass back.

After the quick start for both I could have seen 20 and 12 maybe but not this.

Kings fans said Simmonds was a 3rd liner who would score 15 tops. I guess that's why they're Kings fans

- Buts16

It could just be the Kings. Mike Richards, during his time as a Flyer, scored 0.77 PPG. As a King he's averaged 0.56 PPG. He's scored 1 goal since Christmas. I doubt he ever went that long as a Flyer

It's a sin that Kings fans have to read that crap.

I'm sure any Kings fan worth his salt doesn't.

No more second rounders to trade though, and now they are at 50 contracts again.

If he settles into a consistent 25 goal power forward, the Flyers have done extremely well with the trade.

He's basically centering me and you, they gotta get him some players.

I think he had some rookie and Penner as wingers earlier this week

That was unreal.

I was thinking wire that puck Read but instead all nice and calm sauces a puck over for a tap in, just beautiful.

- Buts16

i don't think that was just a tap in. that took some skill as hartnell had to rotate his body being a left hand shot and miller diving at the puck. great pass by read, but i honestly didn't even think hartnell would get that shot off, let alone score.

Sestito got hit with a big shot. Looks like he hyperextended his knee when he got pummeled with that haymaker.

With JVR's status up in the air, and now Briere injured again, Holmgren might have to go shopping for a forward.

- PLindbergh31

I must not have been watching the same fight because I didn't see Sestito get pummeled or lit up. He had the clear advantage early and Kassian got two shots in late.

Well there is Florida's second round pick right? But most likely any additional trades would need a contract going the other way.

That's part of it, but he wasn;t exactly a house on fire when he was playing with Brown or Williams, either.

It was a good play no question, me saying tap in made it sound like a better pass, I'm just spreading some love.

There is, but they don;t know if that is this year or next. Florida gets to choose if it's a 2012 pick or 2013 pick.

Sestito more than held his own early, but he got hit with a sledgehammer shot and got injured.

Right. Does that mean the Flyers can't trade it because they don't know which year it will be?

I remember for a while Carter had Tolpeko and Kapanen as wingers and people were snapping because he only scored 29 goals

he still sucks. definitely should trade him while his value is at an all-time high. he could probably fetch suter in an even swap. it's always been hartnell's dream to go back to the music city.

Sestito was doing well and then he got destroyed by a bomb.

His eyes were rolling around in his head, I was afraid he was going to do the baby deer and fall on his face on the way to ther bench.
