Laughable because the Hawks would never make that move or laughable because Darcy still thinks you need to build your team around an overpaid goaltender? - RayHatesDomi

I cant wait for this season to be over. I just hope Garth doesn't turn into "every" teams blogger. |

since there are stupid ads over the post I want to reply to here goes.
They want Enroth, Myers, Ennis and Kassian............I'll pass.
Now that's also like if you're selling a house you might ask for 200k when you know you'll take 180k so who knows. - Homer
now that's laughable |

the Hawks would do that in a heartbeat...we wouldn't. Kane is talented sure but not what we need. His attitude sucks, he is a immature punk and makes Derek Roy look like Mark Messier leadership wise. |

To be fair Gretzky got a ton more than that in 88'.
Jimmy Carson, Martin Gelinas, round 1 pick in the 1989 draft (Jason Miller), round 1 pick in the 1991 draft (Martin Rucinsky), round 1 pick in the 1993 draft (Nick Stajduhar) and $15 million. |

He may be a punk. I just think it is a huge mistake for any team to tie up over 5 million (I know Miller makes over 6) in a goaltender. Especially in this day and age. If the opportunity arises to unload bad contracts, I say do it |

Leino and Staff have bad contracts....I'm not so sure Miller does. It's not great cause he hasnt beem great I'll give you that, but Kane is not who you want back for your Goalie....IMO |

Former 2nd overall Jimmy Carson was coming off a 107 pt season.
Gelinas was just taken 7th overall
3 1st rd picks

Vanek's contract is the WORST on the team, trade him |

What do you mean is this day in age? Every team making a run is trying up considerable amounts of money in their goaltending department.

I don't blame them, this trade could mean staying in columbus or the franchise moving to (insert city here) thats a ton of responsibility on Howson's shoulders |
