The one infuriating thing about this win is why did they not play like this prior to this. The Vancouver and Nashville games, I thought they played well in and generally outplayed the opposition despite losing. However that 5 game stretch (EDM/CGY/COL/SJS/PHX) was just inexcusable. Had they played like this, they'd have at least gone 3-2.

It's almost like sometimes they play both up and down to their competition.

I thought this was a perfect skid ending game, in the sense that they corrected some problems like the team defense, pk and goaltending against a good team, while others remain like the pp which will keep them working at it instead of thinking everythings ok now.

I thought Craw had a good game. to all not seeing it on the second goal, the puck was deflected which is why it got through. On the first goal, he didn't see a thing. The bottom line is he made every save he should have, and didn't look as 'wild' in the net as he has.

the pk went 7 for 7 and showed speed, aggressiveness and discipline positionally.

All in all, good effort and good start back up the ladder. Now let's keep it going.

Biron has had a nice year and the NYR have to stop overworking Henrik every year (especially this year whey they look poised for a deep run), so I wasn't surprised that he started.

Penalty kill was awesome and the Penalty Shot was huge. PP was at least getting shots to the net and looked like they were moving better. Still needs work though.

The start in that game was so important, you could see the confidence build throught the game. If Bowman had any sence he would resign Lepisto as a depth dman for next season. How in the world has this guy sat in the stands all year? Makes me wonder about Q! We have a lot of young players who show a lot of potential, The future looks bright in Chicago. Crawford looked shakey but just keep riding him.

How about that down the boards dash and set up to Bolland Stalberg made and #36 hesitated and then fired the puck into Biron's pads. Bollands play is disappointing to me, maybe he is hurting.

now what the F....mol, do you think bickell or ??? would have set the tone with the ranger toughies early in the game the way scott did? i am not talking about body checks through out the game but just all the jack off crap that has been happening to the hawks skill the last several games before scott was dressed on the 4th line LW! rupp and prust have a game plan and it was deterred early in the game by scott with that late "see what i just did what ya gonna do about it hit". even if he doesn't play 1 or 2 more shifts the rest of the game , he did what he was supposed to do! the only way anyone gets betteris by playing! we phucking played together, right? didn't our coach always have 1 or 2 of us set that tone early in the game if we knew we had a couple of shmo's like rupp & prust.we miss carbomb ,so give me your better option. now if bowman gets his hands on guys like gausted, downie, kubina ect. well that's a whole nother story!te mistake bowman/Q made with scott is not keeping him up on the 4th line all year long to get some minutes. instead he jacked off with guys like bickell/ frolik & others.

Except Andru is right, it was a deflection from right next to Crow. The first goal was soft however and its good Crow didn't crumble.
