I don't disagree, but we really can't afford to send that energy and peskiness down unless we replace it. |

As for the Grossman deal, I'd have like to seen the Hawks do it but not for Saad. |

Apparently "not for Saad" wasn't an option.
How has he been doing recently in Saginaw? |

Let me get this straight: You're asking me to be patient? If you ask me that goes both ways. The sky is not falling with every loss and the Cup is not won with a fantastic period. If all the nay-sayers are ready to trade everyone after a bad pass or bad play, then I think the rest of us can credit the team on a good effort last game in NSH and a great effort in period 1 of this game.
I never said I told you so did I? The point is a team doesn't come out with this type of effort, especially on the PK, if their coach has "lost" them. That's all I was getting at. - andru2797
I never said Q "lost" the team and we are not talking about A BAD PASS or A BAD PLAY or even A BAD GAME. We are talking about a nine game losing streak among other things. We are talking about issues, defense, goaltending, special teams that have been going on all season.
You were crediting Q for making adjustments on the PK, right? Okay, fine. The PK has been good the last two nights, no question about it. BUT, the Hawks PK has ranked near the bottom of the league since this season started. So my question to you is why has it taken Q almost 60 games and their longest losing streak in years before making adjustments to the PK. Heck, if you think about it, the PK sucked all of last year too and it just picked up where it left off when this season started.
Just curious, when will the "hall of fame" coach - as you referred to him, get around to making adjustments on the PP? Another two man advantage tonight that they don't score on. Oh, that's right, the PP isn't on Q, it's on the players, as you said in one of your posts. Funny, how when the PK improves, it's not the players, it's Q's brilliant adjustments, but when the PP continues to suck, you blame that on the players and absolve the coaching stuff of any blame. |

I don't want to send him down but he's needs to eliminate that habit or he won't be playing. |

I hope we don't deal Saad unless we get someone with NHL talent as much or more in return. Kubina is not one nor is Purcell. |

He's been on fire since the WJC.. 11 goals and 21 assists in 16 games.
54 points in 30 games so far this season. |

I bet if/when Bickell gets dealt that he will excel in someone elses system. I really think Q is the problem behind the bench. |

olson is having a really strong game
i think he is setting the tone for the d with taking the body and separating it from the puck. its alot better opportunity to succeed then the stick check |

You can't trade Stalberg, his speed is creating huge mismatches. Just coach him up a little on the finishing touch and playing the body a bit more. |

Speed and size gets him between the defender and the boards and to the net.
Yes, teach him to finish and you've got a 30 goal scorer. |

Feel like he's gonna have a breakaway on every rush. And not from cherry picking but from shear hard work and churning those legs. |

Wouldn't surprise. Could be another Dan Cleary-type situation. Playing a physical style every night takes its toll, I get it, but throttling back is a lot different than being MIA in nearly every aspect of the game. Too bad he can't/won't get his act together consistently |
