Crawford needs to be riden, he is our number one tender! It is time for him to show why the Hawk made a three year committment too him. I would love a trade for Kubina and Moore. It would fill two holes in the lineup. They are veterans with a lot of playoff experience. As long as the price is not too high this would be a very good move by Bowman. Go Hawks Go! |

Another player off my wish list gone.
Grossman to Philly for a second round pick in 2012, and third rounder in 2013.
The bar has been set and it is very high. - Al
A second and a third for Grossman. Yowsers.

I can't think and say enough bad things about Stan Bowman (a.k.a. John Ferguson Jr.). He is clearly the number one guy that has to be axed or reassigned. Here's another example:
Ian White was given a $2.8M deal last summer for 2 years by Ken Holland. Bowman decided Montador was better and should get double the term even though the guy can't skate, had worn out his welcome with Buffalo particularly Lindy Ruff and was/is injury prone.
Now, White leads the league in +/- and where's Montador? On IR and he wasn't very good when he played.
Bowman is in the process of destroying this team and must be stopped somehow. - RickJ
Everytime I see the Wings play, I think, "Why didn't the Blackhawks get him?!" |

I am fairly ignorant about all that's in the system--so that's why I am one who ...............feel-good crap that emanates from West Madison Street. If I were, maybe I am not so patient. I can't help but think of the line from the Outlaw Josie Wales:
"Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining."

I don't think there'd be nearly this much anger if West Madison St. didn't look as much like Wrigleyville as it seems to at times. - AL SEC0RD

How far are they away on the blueline. Is it personnel or is the personnel they have just not doing what they should. I know I've sated this over and over but Hockey News rated our blue line 1-8 "personnel" wise (so on paper) number 1 in the league.
So are we 1 d man away 2 dmen away?
I think they are one away but Im not sure what kind?
Do we want another minute cruncher like Hammer who gets the puck out, do we want offensive upside like zidlickey or some snarl like a Schenn or Girardi ?
What about Robidas from Dallas he seems to bring all these elements he hits eats up minutes and has some offensive potential. - mvp0207
I said months ago they need 2 defenceman to reduce the minutes of Keith, Seabrook and Leddy. If the trade market is stupid, Lepisto can play 12- 14 minutes and be effective IMO.
What's needed is a guy with some size who can kill penalties, hit some people and log enough minutes to even out the top guys ice time. Kubina would work well I think, except it was him who scrambled Bolland's brains last year. |

SB couldn't match that ? Or Dallas wanted more from an intra-conference rival ? I sure hope its the latter but fear it's the earlier; thus SB has no balls. |

the discussion on the play of kane i think centers around if he is surrounded by alot of skilled grit guys he is very productive. for example if kane were a bruin it would be scary what his production coulld be
instead he is a blackhawk and the rest of the team is also pretty soft like him so he is not nearly as effective. vancouver takes runs at kane to neutralize him and we have not response. the bruins would retaliate to a cheap shot on kane by taking out all five guys on the ice.
i think it would be scary if kane played for boston |

White is playing with the the second best defensemen of ALL TIME behind Orr.
Once again prime example of hindsight I didnt hear anyone calling for White in the offseason we all wanted some snarl and toughness. Thats what he tried to get in Montador.
Whites having a career year it must be that magic dust detroit feeds their once down and out players who go there and have career years. |

I'm almost to the point where I'd just like to see them add a few guys like Burish and Moen and address the top 4 d-man in the offseason. |

That being said, I am not dishing out the money and being assualted by McCub and the ad campaign and the feel-good crap that emanates from West Madison Street. If I were, maybe I am not so patient.
