This is more an issue of the stupid league rules (probably the fault of the NHLPA more than anything else) than anything we are doing wrong.....where he SHOULD be is Bridgeport, and that's where he will be next year, IMO.

That doesn't help his development. The kid needs to be put in Bridgeport next year so he doesn't fall under the bailey effect aka being rushed into the league and thus not panning out.

Many players better than Niederreiter played in juniors when they were 19. This whole notion that he could just point to the net and score whenever he wanted to there is just...wrong.

he gets to learn the speed of the game, tactics, systems, how to be physically prepared, learns alot about his game and where it needs to be if he wants to be in the league. Breaking into the NHL regardless of age is a learning experience. It's an eye opener whether your Nino or Sidney Crosby. Sending Nino to Bridgeport next year would just shatter his confidence, thats ridiculous. You don't make him play a full season than put him in the minors.
