FWIW, Eklund just tweeted that Kubina won't approve a trade to Philly. Rangers and Sens seem to be the favorites.
- PLindbergh31

Who cares. I like his size and his shot but I don't find him to have a nasty side, which I think we could use.

You know what... thats fine... Lets get Gilroy, Moore, and Hall.

We can have a checking line again... Moore-Talbot-Hall or Talbot-Moore-Hall

Definately would help the PK. And it would mean we could maybe use some of our young forwards to land a Big name Scorer like Ryan.

That Irks me. Why in the hell would you pick the Sens over the Flyers....
- RooNosHockey

Who knows. The Sens have a solid young team. They are 1 point behind the Flyers.

That's garbage. Maclean, Kypreos etc are saying Philly is a possible destination.

Wrong!

Parking, food. Beer. Ka-Ching, Ka-Ching, Ka-Ching.... I just dont understand why stadium beer costs as much as a 6-pack.

- RooNosHockey

I take public transit and have a monthly transpass, I am allergic to beer, and I buy food/beverage only at Saturday afternoon games when I don't have plans to go out afterward. No programs, no gear, just hockey. If you can't go without food and drink for 3 hours, maybe you should spend the money on some lab tests.

At this point who knows really. It's all just speculation. Bob M, and Dreger seem to be the most reliable sources.

I could have asked for a refund. The Flyers may charge you an arm and a leg, but they don't cheat you.

I have gotten stuck with tickets that were a so called "guaranteed money maker" (US Open golf premium tent tix in 2009 at Bethpage--impossible to sell because of the financial crisis). So I just don't play the whole game.

- bodiva88

Actually I was going to get a partial season ticket plan... the weekend plan this season... They wanted me to put a deposit down before the games were announced. I decided to wait, because I didn't want to get stuck with crappy games. As it turns out, the weekend package cost more then the others, has 1 less game, and the games were just crappy... from what I remember. I am soo glad I didnt get the tickets..

As a goalie... would you rather have a positionally strong, physical defensive d-man.. or a rusty offensive d-man?
- jak521

Positionally sound defensive dman..

What people forget is that a Gill etc is more effective in the post season. Refs tend to let a lot more go in the playoffs IMO.. Bruins used that to their advantage last year, and Pronger the year before.

Is Kubina going to put this team above the Rangers and Bruins?

He is a fart in the windstorm that may help this team win a couple extra games.

Dont waste assets on rentals. Stay the course and let this truly be a learning experience for the young kids.

As much as I love Marty... there is no way in hell I would give up what is needed to get him.

Interesting. Also, hockeycentral is saying, that Carter is 100% being shopped and will be traded.

This further enrages me.

Fortunately for whatever reason, the Giants have a "pay as they play" option for the playoffs now. Meaning you only have to pay for tickets if there is actually a game.

- PLindbergh31

it's the technology. Now if you don't pay, you can't use the electronically scanned ticket, so there's no need to have the money in early to figure out who will or won't pay. YOu just have a card on file and they are pretty sure they'll be able to collect round by round.

Of course, don't get me started on the "service charge" for buying your season tix or playoff tix. Just include it in the damned tickets so I don't have to see it.

Unleashing the truth! Nutter sir, you are bang on. Rentals do nothing but zap the team of assets.

It's not all or nothing. If the asking price is more than a mid-round pick, walk on.

I heard that!

I would think he would be brought in more to provide some punch on the PP.

He isn't someone who is gonna lock down the d-zone.

This goes back to Bill's blob from yesterday. The Flyers aren't likely to get the complete package d-man.

- ggunky

He currently has 0 pp points. and had a whopping 5 last season.

I woke up this morning thinking to myself how badly the Flyers need to draft a defenseman in the first round.

Claude Giroux
James van Riemsdyk
Brayden Schenn
Sean Couturier
Wayne Simmonds
Jake Voracek
Matt Read
Eric WellWood
Nick Cousins

Erik Gustafsson.

Sergei Bobrovsky

We're okay in every other position but D. I like Gus but he's small. He's really really small.
