In my defense Gaus is pretty good at said faceoffs.

A Leopold/Gaustad package would help immensely.

Hey Bill,
Thanks for the blog and bringing some sense to the defensive position and giving back to the whiners who complain about Carle, Mez or Coby because of one bad play versus a game of good plays. Any team would be happy to have any of these guys.
I keep thinking that no matter who we get, they aren't going to replace Pronger. You could get a 4-5 defensemen but we already have that in the players we have. I don't see a change in personel to be a dramatic change on the ice. I think the problem is confidence. I think Bryz has lost his and the team has lost their's in him. They start doing the right things, only to have them go unrewarded and fall back into bad habits.

Jagr not practicing today with flu. JVR is on the ice and not wearing the no contact grey(yellow) jersey. He's also in Jagr's spot, practicing with Giroux. Here's to hoping he's ready tomorrow.....

I think homer is more about signing someone that can be around for another year. Building to win next year

How do these people get jobs as sports writers? Trading our two guys with NMC's for Nash? Jagr is untouchable in a trade for Nash? The best defense is a good offense (as if our offense sucks). You guys will be rolling reading this

- Just5

What makes you think they have jobs? I know at least one guy is an unpaid intern. I'm guessing a lot of it is like MyHockeyBuzz stuff.

Like I said Earlier, I either want Schenn, Gill, and a checking forward....

Or

I would send Voracek, MAB, and a Second for Visnovsky and Selanne. And pick up Gill for a 3rd and 4th.

For what its worth I am by no means a self proclaimed trade guru but Gaus is a player I would like on this team even if he is a little overpaid.

Overpaying slightly for guys who are good players, and address an area of weakness isn't the worst thing in the world, it's when you overpay guys who can't play is when you get into problems.

Not for the SEASON just right now. It was written that Timmonen has been the best Dman for the season unless that was edited out but let me double check.

"Timonen has been the Flyers best defenseman all season but lately I think he needs to take a look in the mirror."
That is what is written on the slide and is the writer's opinion. Opinions are like ... oh nevermind.

Thing about bill's blog is I find that I learn things from his blog. I learned alot today and personally it has changed my views on some things. It has reinforced my patience with the Dmen for example and made me want a stop gap dman even less.

I just realized how much Mike Ilitch looks like Jackie Rogers Jr. from SCTV.
