I was agreeing with you. The Ranger package doesn't touch the LA one you proposed. - Gunner Staal
I know and I was just furthering my point to no one I guess. I do that at times |

Are you asking if I would do it, or if I think the Caps have the necessary package to get it done ? I'd obviously like to see Nash here, and the 2 #1's this year are a nice bargaining chip. Most would be happy to see Semin exit (the thought is that he's gone after the season anyway, unless he's prepared to take a drastic paycut). I don't know about prospects -- if we're talking non-NHL'ers (i.e. not Orlov, who should be untouchable, etc), they have Kuznetsov but I would hope that they wouldn't be parting with him. - MadCap2008
We don't have the cap room really. I'd rather not take on another ridiculous contract on top of Ovi and Backs. |

I watched the Wash-SJ game last night. I couldn't believe how many times the Caps couldn't complete a tape to tape pass. On the rush, standing still, it didn't matter. OV feels he has to do it all, and without Backstrom maybe he does, but he is trying way too hard. It would be helpful if someone could get him the puck in stride though. - canadianpenfan
It's been like that all year, with or without Backstrom. It doesn't matter. This team cannot string together two passes for the life of them. |

NH, you still here??
From Richard Cloutier's Oiler blog:
Updated 2:30pm EST
The Toronto Maple Leafs have called up Keith Aulie as Carl Gunnarsson is placed on the IR. Perhaps there is more to it than that? Oilers players and management are making it sound like Ales Hemsky could be dealt at any minute. Is there a possible connection? Stay tuned.

It would be a lot of $'s between three players. |

Edmonton GM just quoted as saying that he has no plans to trade:
Ryan Smyth.
the dream lives.
Edmonton Oilers @NHL_Oilers
"I have no plans to move Ryan Smyth. Ryan has made it clear that he wants to stay here and play for the Oilers." - GM Tambellini - ryman1566
That means a trade or two will happen. |

Hemsky to Toronto - they wouldn't make the playoffs for sure. |

So the end of Ek's newest blog suggests a mystery team is involved for Nash, and of course, leaves it at that hook. |

Well I kinda rushed this one out there but here is the Rick Nash piece
http://my.hockeybuzz.com/...er_id=25345&post_id=12994 - Gunner Staal
great read. regrettably the subsequent trade offered by a vancouver fan was much like what was being discussed earlier. other then schneider, just a bunch of stuff no one else wants. if you are so eager to constantly part with it, why would it land you rick nash |

It's a good thing for Columbus. He will find the best deal available. I met him at Fox Chapel Yaught club and he was shocked I was in Aaww of him. We had a beer he is a really cool guy talked to me for about a half hour. |

Nash for Bernier, Penner, Hunter...and a pick.
LOL that is pretty funny....
Let's see... we'll trade our franchise player for two UFA's, a good goalie and a pick... |

Howson would be hunted for sport if he was running a Canadian team and that went through.
So we're going to rape you AND you have to take Penner, k? |

The proposals we came up with here were MUCH better.
Columbus front office just doesn't get it, if this comes to be true. This trade is too important for them to screw up |

That can't be right unless they are trying to get Columbus to move. |
