Its an unreal position to be in, if one had to go at one point. You have to take Crosby just because he is the best player in the game IF he is and can stay healthy. I wouldnt even consider Malkin for Nash, Unless you were getting Nash and many more of the players in CBJ. Im still dieing to see Malkin Neal Crosby line murder the rest of the league to another cup.
Good luck Pitt and Cros on making a full recovery. - poisondhearts37
We all are. But unless I missed something nobody is even considering trading Malkin for Nash. In fact, there is only one player I would possibly trade Malkin for and we already have him. |

Ek says the Pens are looking at Lubomir Visnovsky.
Thoughts?
I say do it. Visnovsky is a stud, especially offensively.
Having Visnovsky AND Letang...wow.
Imagine a PP of-
Neal Sid Geno
Letang Visnovsky
Who/what would you trade for him?
The Ducks need defensive depth, and maybe some secondary scoring.
I would be on board with Martin (or Michalek) & Lovejoy for Visnovsky & a pick,
or perhaps Martin (or Michalek) and TK for Visnovsky & a high pick/prospect.
Would they want Tangradi back? haha

The point of moving Martin would be to free up cap space for somebody like Neal, not to take on another similar contract like Visnovsky. |

Only good thing with the trade, is that Visnovsky only has one more season. He'd be gone before Letang, Crosby & Staal have their new deals started. |

That is an interesting spin on it, if they could get neal done, and then have that 5.6 mil come off the books, does that change anyone's mind? |

Not mine.
Everybody's gripe with Martin and Z is their defensive play. Visnovsky isn't going to help us there and we really don't need more offence from our defense imo. |

Edmonton GM just quoted as saying that he has no plans to trade:
Ryan Smyth.

Well I kinda rushed this one out there but here is the Rick Nash piece

Nice piece glad I could inspire you. I hope that trade happens soon so that other teams are forced to react creating a chain reaction of trades. |

My first Write up will be on how long it would take NH to get an 83 tattoo if the Pens landed Hemsky. And where the placement of the tattoo would be.

I'm too lazy to read all the posts, so maybe it has been said, but if Guerin was obtained with a conditional draft pick, I would imagine Knuble would be just about the same. |

I don't think the Ducks would be interested in taking Martin in this deal. He makes almost the same for a longer period of time and is less productive offensively. Also Pens do not need another offensive defenseman IMO. |

Tough question, but a HEALTHY Sid is the answer.
Happily that is not an issue and the modern day legacy of the Pens having the top player in hockey will continue for years.
Now that Depres is back in WB-S and Asham has returned to full practice, will Sid skate with the team as well? |

I wouldn't mind seeing his career of killing the Pens come to an end by aquiring him...especially for a conditional pick. |
