Why? They lack scoring, yet are atop the standings. This is the move that could take them over the top or at least a deep playoff run (i.e. semi's or finals).

This is the time for them to mortgage some future for a few year run at the Cup.

Thats usually the way it works when a player has a NTC. If he agrees to a move, he or his agent would provide the GM with a list of teams he'd accept a trade to. No sense in the GM talking to everyone, get a deal, only to find out that the player wants no part of that team
