I've been waiting for that to happen. Not to sound like a (frank)ing hipster, but that's what the books are about. A lot less to do with the zombies killing...but more of what happens to us when poop like this goes down. The last 5 minutes Rick's balls grew exponentially and he realized he had to protect his own group from the real problem. I enjoyed it a lot.
- weirdoh

I don't read the books, but I've heard a lot about them. And I like the fact it's about the characters. Shows true writing skills in my opinion. And yeah, Rick's realization was bound to happen, and even Hershel by the looks of things has conceded that Rick is the best leader. Shane would be a good leader if he had a filter and wasn't coming unhinged lol. Everything his about him while he pretends it's about the group.

No, but I did break down the entire interview in a post.

And now it seems I can't search for my old posts anymore on hockeybuzz - Google and other search engines don't capture posts - just blogs.

Weird.

Damn. Well, it must have been Phanuef for Stajan and white....and maybe Hagman and meyers for Aulie and Shoe?

No they are willing to move Gagner IF someone overpays. He is now a legitimate number 1 center.

- GoneFullRetard

Sam Gagner is not even close to a number one center. The guy is on a little hot streak. He's a 3rd maybe 2nd line center

JVR is only big on paper.
- Atomic Wedgie

A big piece of paper???

Actually he played well in the playoffs, last year, but other than that he's been soft for his size.

Dustin Penner looks like he's available. He would be a good fit. He's got size and he has some scoring touch. We also wouldn't have to give up a lot to get him. It's not the right time to get Nash anyways. Where would he fit? Bring in a guy like Penner who has some experience.
- lotempio8119

Meh...they'd have to basically give him away. He's a pending UFA who has underperformed horribly this season. I'd pass, personally.

Not really, that was a pre-game skate.

This was our useless goon who we pay to not play, injuring our steadiest D during practice.

Not sure we need another 13 point winger at this point in time.

3rd line I suppose. Could possibly jump up on the 2nd PP unit.
I dont like the thought of Connolly and Penner on the same line though. That's way too much (frank) not being given.

Wow...I just perused that and took the above from it and i thought it was a comparison of Rick Nash and Shane Doan in respect to their loyalty to their small market teams...

You gotta read the books. The show does and doesn't follow it. They've been picking and choosing what they want to do. I like the show, but the books are pretty (frank)ing good...the writers don't aim for any happy endings in the book. You can download the complete set in a torrent site, just make sure you have an comic reader, I have ComicRack. Or you can buy a big collection of the first 60 or so. It's 70 bucks, I got it for the Mrs. for Christmas.

exactly.. this penner thing needs to go away.

the last thing the leafs need is another overrated 4 million dollar winger, and actually have to give up assets to get him.

Grabo, Mac or Kuli, 1 of those 3 would be part of the package to Columbus.

Re-sign Grabo. Put Nash on line with him and whoever stays......

I read the books for awhile but kind of lost track. Don't even remember how many I've read, probably more than the first 60. It's definitely good and grittier than the show. Fearless too, with TV shows they are too worried about killing certain characters or following certain plotlines. I just hope they do the Governor plotline, that was my fav of what I've read so far.

Aulie wasn't throw in.....Burke has already said, he had to be involved.
- Fakepartofme

My point was that Phaneuf on his own did not get the deal done in Toronto's eyes. There were too many ifs about him.

I was not insulting Aulie. They really wanted Aulie. But at the time they were not interested in just trading for Dion. Which means Burke took some heat about it.

The fault is simple... why is Rosehill even on the team at this point? The level of how flukey the injury was is much different.

Couldn't agree more. Grabovski is a player we need to keep. I could see Nash playing with grabo and Mac.

I didn't think so. It's all about the character development, and I like seeing that development. It's nice seeing the walkers being killed and stuff, but I like the progression of the characters. And this one showed Hershel's change to accepting what's going on. And it was the completion of Rick's moral transformation from where he was morally to between where he was and where Shane is morally.

It also showed that they have to worry about more than just walkers. They now need to worry about other survivors since they're able to think, use tools and try to outsmart people. And those guys are going to lead into something else.

do you watch the Talking Dead Aftershow? It's a great insight into what's going on. Here's part 1 from Sunday.

- Domaju

Oh ya I know. I dont watch talking dead but I dont know how many times I have had to tell my friends its not a Zombie show, its a socio/psychological survival show.

Wont be able to resign Grabo if we get Nash (which we wont be) unless roughly the same amount of cash is going back (which it wont be).
