All joking aside. I don't really want Nash. Great player, with lots of size. Just not sure he's a fit for us. He's taking either Mac or Kuli's spot so are they going the other way.
I didn't think so. It's all about the character development, and I like seeing that development. It's nice seeing the walkers being killed and stuff, but I like the progression of the characters. And this one showed Hershel's change to accepting what's going on. And it was the completion of Rick's moral transformation from where he was morally to between where he was and where Shane is morally.
It also showed that they have to worry about more than just walkers. They now need to worry about other survivors since they're able to think, use tools and try to outsmart people. And those guys are going to lead into something else.
do you watch the Talking Dead Aftershow? It's a great insight into what's going on. Here's part 1 from Sunday.

there's actually a great interview of Burke on the FAN590 website (not sure if it is still there) where he describes exactly how it went down. Basically started as a player for player, and then Burke said he needed more, so Sutter said he needed more, and the deal kept growing. - Atomic Wedgie

Can anyone actually give a trade proposal the Leafs could do for Nash? Like a Srzly 4 Realz one?!?
Something like Schenn, Kadri and a 1st?
Am I way off? - wolfos412
No. But I would guess if the Nash thing was real (which I highly doubt) that salary would need to go the other way ... and Schenn and Kadri's salaries aren't enough imo.

I've been waiting for that to happen. Not to sound like a (frank)ing hipster, but that's what the books are about. A lot less to do with the zombies killing...but more of what happens to us when poop like this goes down. The last 5 minutes Rick's balls grew exponentially and he realized he had to protect his own group from the real problem. I enjoyed it a lot.
Well that is just great f*cking management. We have the softest team in the league on the ice every night. Our one goon hasn't started in how long but for some reason we pay him to sit in the press box and then injure our steadiest defenseman.

Should of called up Frattin and put komi in the line up. At least Frattin could put some energy in the line up, since we've been playing with none in the past few games.

2006/07/03 Edmonton Oilers traded Chris Pronger to the Anaheim Ducks for Joffrey Lupul, Ladislav Smid, a 1st round selection in 2007, a conditional 1st round selection and a 2nd round selection in 2008. This isn't even close to what the poster said would be going in a trade in terms of quantity, but I'll let this one pass I guess...
2008/02/26 Atlanta Thrashers traded Marian Hossa and Pascal Dupuis to the Pittsburgh Penguins for Colby Armstrong, Erik Christensen, Angelo Esposito and a 1st-round selection in 2008. SO a whole bunch of garbage and a 1st for Hossa?
On August 9, 1988, Oilers traded Gretzky, along with McSorley and Krushelnyski, to the Kings for Carson, Martin Gelinas, $15 million in cash, and the Kings' first-round draft picks in 1989 (later traded to the New Jersey Devils – New Jersey selected Jason Miller), 1991 (Martin Rucinsky), and 1993 (Nick Stajduhar). - Sherratt0204[62 Yeah, ummm, I didn't know we were building trade proposals for Crosby or Stamkos
Im not saying nash is worth tones but with only 4-6 teams selling, who will overpay to get him now?
The only player comparable in the above to Nash is probably Hossa. Nash has nothing on Pronger (hart trophy winner and norris trophy winner), and Gretzky's trades have no bearing in this discussion.

Wow...I just perused that and took the above from it and i thought it was a comparison of Rick Nash and Shane Doan in respect to their loyalty to their small market teams...

That's just like its the oil managements fault Hall got cut.
Dustin Penner looks like he's available. He would be a good fit. He's got size and he has some scoring touch. We also wouldn't have to give up a lot to get him. It's not the right time to get Nash anyways. Where would he fit? Bring in a guy like Penner who has some experience.
according to trade cenetr last night leafs have 7.4 million in cap space, which means they can take on a guy who was makeing 7 million at start of year and a guy who was meing 5 million at start of year without sending money back in saying that i do this, remeber jackets want to trade carter badddd and he wants out bad but no 1 will touch his 10 year deal.
carter and nash to toronto.
colbourne, grabo, kulie , first round pick, bostons 2nd round pick, kadri and komi.
kessel bozak lupul
mac carter nash
lombo connly crabb
brown steck boyce
army sits out, next year we use the buyout on army.. lolol and yes grabo is a ufa jackets will sighn him before a trade is made.
just for nash tho. i do colbourne, 1st round pick grabo boston's 2nd and aulie. - leafsdc
So Carter and Nash have struggled to find chemistry all season, and they bounced around in the NHL basement. Now we're going to trade for them and play them together?
All joking aside. I don't really want Nash. Great player, with lots of size. Just not sure he's a fit for us. He's taking either Mac or Kuli's spot so are they going the other way.
To be serious: We're not getting Nash - stevecarpetman
probably not, but he's not exactly the kind of player that comes along every day. if the opportunity is there, i say run with it.
he'd be taking macarthurs spot. anyone who thinks he isn't an upgrade on macarthur is high as a kit. but it would definitely be something like macarthur, kadri, aulie, 1st.. plus. very comparable to when kovalchuk was traded to jersey.
Kessel is a very good passer also. For that matter, Lupul is not bad either. I think the shooter/playmaker thing is overrated.
Actually, I think the #1 Center thing is overrated. What the leafs REALLY lack is toughness and size all over the lineup. A big #1 center is not going to suddenly turn everything around. - GoneFullRetard
I agree. Get help where you can. Boston doesn't "kill" the Leafs down the middle ...they "kill" the Leafs with guys like Marchand, Lucic, Horton, Kelly, Peverley, etc... .........team toughness ....playoff hockey.
...oh and their g'tending is a billion times better.
