Do you think Carle resigns in Columbus, or do you think he goes to Free Agency July 1?
- MJL

They'd want Coburn, not Carle if they demanded a defenseman.

And he had 69 points in another Season.
- MJL

And that is worth 7.8 million per year?

I'm gonna laugh so hard when the rags collapse in the playoffs.
- JoeRussomanno

A team that plays like they do, doesn't collapse in the playoffs. Their team game is too good.

That would be great, lose our only defenseman that actually plays physical in front of the net.

You wouldn't be trading him for what he did in Columbus. You would be trading him for what he could do for the Flyers.

Precisely, but do you honestly think they could make it work given his cap hit?

What would you personally offer if you were interested?

Okay, if he is gonna put up 90-100 points a season in Philly, then make the move. That's the kind of player you pay 7.8 million per year to.

I'd bet on 80 points at least. Still, I don't see it happening.

I think his Cap hit is prohibitive for the Flyers. And I could see Columbus wanting JVR, and one of Schenn or Couturier for him. So I personally wouldn't do it. My argument is with those that say he's not a top Winger. He certainly is.

Well, if we expect him to put up 90-100 points, we better hope he is scoring 70 goals.

I think his contract lowers his value significantly on the market though...

More so then that, is that he has a NTC that he has to waive while choosing where he wants to play.

Not surprised at that. And I'm sure the Flyers are talking to see what it would take.

I have no desire in acquiring Rick Nash. Maybe it's just me but I think he's been a tad overrated in his NHL career.

Honestly, the Flyers should just overpay for Bobby Ryan.

30+ a year for what will be his first 4 full seasons in the league after this year. Put him with G and your getting a 40 goal scorer for 5.1 mill for the next 3 seasons.

Rather than 40+ from Nash for 7.8 mill

The only way I possibly include Schenn or Courturier in a trade proposal is if Weber is coming back. Schenn, Giroux, and Courturier will be a very formidable center combination for the next decade.

If we needed a forward he would be worth it. The Flyers need help on defense and need to upgrade there first.

Nope the Nash flurry has me unleashed!

Trade Briere or Bryz to Columbus? Sure because they'd waive the NMC's to go to a rebuild!

- Jsaquella

I found what you were talking about. I can't believe the stuff that they let people publish there sometimes but hey look what the pros at CSN etc put out sometimes. I did leave a comment there breaking down the absurdity of such a notion.
