Gustafsson, and MAB having to play before they are ready, probably has decreased their trade value as well. They have been somewhat exposed at the NHL level thus far, even though they are both young players and we are talking about a small sample size.

I would say that MAB's play has increased his trade value, not decreased it. He wasn't on the NHL radar, now he's shown that he can play in the NHL. And that he could have a decent future as an NHL depth defenseman. He has shown he has good physical tools.

Nothing wrong with experience, but neither guy is ready to be playing 15+ mins at the NHL level right now. Unfortunately there are no other options at this point.
