He's not going to get to develop any land anywhere now. That ship has sailed (thanks completely to the corrupt politics of the TOH and Nassau County, representatives of the ABLI and the small business owners and commercial real estate owners who stood to face competition from the Lighthouse). So, would Wang be better off "settling" for something that gives him a chance to recoup his financial losses over time, or would he be better off selling the team at a major loss? That's the real question. If he's a tenant in Brooklyn, with the right deal in place, he can recoup the losses that he's incurred due to the political BS he was ambushed with in Nassau and the TOH. If he sells at pennies on the dollar, he has no chance to recoup those losses.

Ill tell you this.. each and every lease he signs in Brooklyn will be with him looking to the future where he can move the team out of there into his own building.......... somewhere.

I wish Wang would just sell the team to Prokhorov (Nets owner) and call it a day. Not saying he even wants to buy the team, but whatever. Just semantics.

And the guy really knows how to throw a party...

At a Christmas party for the Russian rich at the French Alpine resort of Courchevel in January 2007, he was arrested for allegedly arranging prostitutes for his guests

the jets left winnipeg once already partly due to that fact.

- Isles316

Partly, and mostly due to the fact that the exchange rate between the Canadian Dollar and American Dollar was so poor in Canada's favor. That's why Quebec left as well. Besides, the Old Winnipeg arena actually sat more people than the current MTS center for NHL games. Bottom line: the NHL would not have allowed a move back to a market it alreadly left if it felt the market couldn't support a team as already constituted.

true. im just tired of worrying about this crap. I would like as we all would an answer one way or the other. I have season tickets, should I keep buying them if the team is a lame duck team or what? Should I prepare for this team to leave. It would devastate me.

We'd all be devastated if they moved. I'd be crushed. Maybe even to the point that I'd stop watching them wherever they went, although I admit that's a long shot. I'm sick of all this s**t too. But its all a game and everyone involved has to keep playing it in order to get the best deal, with the fans as the ones who truly suffer through it.

My gut tells me they don't leave NY in the end, but I wouldn't be surprised with anything.

I agree with what you said I dont think I would follow them either. I would probably become a Sabre fan since they are the only ones left in New York besides the Rangers and I will never root for them. LEts hope for the best and just see what happens

I actually saw that too when I went to the Nino/Streit signing at the Coliseum. I couldn't retain myself. I also took a picture of the Rolston jersey tees and wondered to myself........does anyone actually own one of these?

Ah, thank God. I was looking over the lineup and thinking, "Boy, just one more washed up old guy in there, and that'll be all we need." Then I see Reasoner is back in. Cappy and Garth really have their fingers on the pulse of this team. Amazing roster management.

It was probably laying in the trash bins outside the back of the Coliseum. That's where Mottau will be after this season's over.

I live 15 minutes from Newark so the Devils would be the next closest team. But I couldn't bring myself to root for the Devils unless they're playing the Rangers.

I just wanted to bring something up with X.

I was the one before the draft last year that stated Sean Couturier would be the guy to get this year, if he is not the guy, he sure is one of them. Kid will be a star..

Just sayin X..told you so.
