i wonder what homer and howson were discussing what do they have that we want ??
- griouxmvp2012

The first two names that jumped out to me are Fedor Tyutin(not a fan of his contract) and Sami Pahlsson.

It might be tough to shift around personnel to accommodate a new roster player at forward. If we are lucky enough to grab a guy like Gaustad, I'm assuming someone would have to sit and who knows, JvR could be better in a week from now. So then you have to fit him somehow.

Lavy will have to whip out the old scratch pen for the board. With as many rookies in the lineup there's room.

The problem is that you would be trading away youth and picks for 3 players with an average age of 97.

What if they want MAB, Rinaldo, and a First for Selannie and Visnovsky? Would you do that?

agree completely. i just don't think a letter makes any difference in whether or not the team has a vocal leader.
- OrangeBlack27

Agreed. The lack of "C" on anyones sweater is not the issue now.

Yes but these rookies aren't playing like rookies. Most of these first year players deserve to be here.

Columbus has no reason to trade prospects right now. If the Flyers are talking to the Jackets, it's for roster guys who can help now.

Absolutely. The problem is that if their GM were to make that move every person in North America (except Flyers fans) would get in line to punch him square in the throat.

Thats an asinine deal on the Ducks part.

If they are trading Selanne they are getting either a top pick and a solid NHLer, or a top prospect and a 2nd-3rd rd pick.

Visnovsky would probably cost a 1st or a package of a pick and a prospect himself.

Ridiculous. Their all professionals and if you give them time and space there going to make you pay. Bryzgalov can be better no question but the defense has been terrible for the most part.

Pahlsson doesn't really fit the 4th line here, IMO. Lavy likes guys that can skate and forecheck. Pahlsson skates like he's playing on sand instead of ice.

If the Ducks want MAB, and Rinaldo they would have to throw in Corey Perry too.

They deserve it but when push comes to shove and we get into the playoffs then it becomes time to put your best soldiers on the battlefield. If we have Gaustad (god I hope, that would be so freaging awesome) then you have to go by who is more valuable. that's just sports in general not just hockey- look at that guy the Patriots cut the day before the superbowl. But he probably wasn't down with letting the giants score the last td so...
