Forget top 6 forward, we need goaltending.

Can't tell me if we had Carey Price in net for the Leafs right now that we wouldn't be coasting into the playoffs with the rest of the roster "as is".

Nothing against Reimer and Monster but right now they are backup goalies. Not saying they won't get better and become number 1's but right now if our goal is to make the playoffs then those chances rely solely on one of them taking us there.

i think i've been pretty consistent with my posts. ive always been of the opinion that we'll be competing for 8th, and never once have i shifted my thinking on rw, bb, or any of our roster players.

I'm sure making the playoffs would be dandy, but even the most delusional Leaf fan has to recognize that their current roster is not a Cup contender. Making the playoffs would be a positive step, but if anyone in "Leaf's Nation" actually thinks they stand a chance against the Rangers, Bruins or Flyers. . .seriously.

Another couple of seasons and some additions to the current lineup and this will be a really good young team. Right now, not so much.

i don't think any leafs fan on this board expects them to be contenders for the cup.

playoffs would be a good step for our young team.....it would be a good experience. for now, burke has to stay the course, keep building depth, and make the major trade when he's accumulated enough trading chips...which is not yet....
