No but I wonder if they get swept out west if he will.
they need a minimum 4 of 6 points out there. Problem is they're showing a complete lack of ability to fight for that road point, as most recently demonstrated against the Jets and Flyers. Not even coming close in the dying minutes. - Domidives
Hopefully the shutout is a kick in the ass... The last two times though, the Leafs followed with losses.... So... |

I would agree that you nailed the top two problems.
After that though, they need a new coach, who will teach them to be tough, physically and mentally. You can see the fear on the ice when they lose a game... - GoneFullRetard
Team toughness also just comes from having a few more tough players on the ice.
I mean even Reichel would get in peoples faces when he knew domi, roberts, tucker and corson were around. |

Expiring contract. - Brian Huddle
Who cares...what's he do for us now/
Nothing?
Besides, we all know Burke's piss poor record when it comes to FA's.....he'll probably resign him for 4 million.
Forget that. |

He brings a big body along the boards. Something the Leafs DESPERATELY need.
For me, I'd deal away a longer contract for his. Lombardi/Connolly/Komisarek. |

What about Burke's soild record with reclamation projects? ie. Lupul and MacArthur? not disagreeing with you, just playing devils advocate.....and I highly doubt Penner's in a position to command even 2M. |

A few years back I was watching my share of oilers games for poops and giggles....during one stretch, I thought for sure Penner was taking the next step. He reminded me alot of Lindros that season. Don't know why consistency is such an issue for him. |

I do think Frattin needs to be up here (not Colborne). But I don't know what you can do with some of the other guys at this point.

See this is where i think your point about grabo as a centre is real good. Grabo is great in the offensive zone, in the neutral zone, and being the first man back. He's horrible once the opposition has the puck in our zone not to be confused with leading the breakout out of our zone. He looks like a chicken sometimes not knowing who he should be covering. Hes not alone as in most cases someone else has also lost their man. Having Connolly at centre might actually take the pressure off. |

I actually don't think he's been bad, just hasn't been good. He's a step ahead of Lombardi and Crabb offensively and it shows.

i suppose that makes sense.. wilson needs to give him someone capable of shooting on his wing or his skill as a playmaking centre is wasted |

Pretty much.
And I know you disagree, but I really think the lack of size is showing through. Teams are slowing up the Leafs and forcing them to the boards where they can't win battles. |
