I would take the train there anyway. It is very easy to take train to that area. It would be same as going to Garden.. just going to Atlantic stop instead (used to be called flatbush ave). |

As far as what I am hearing that Phoenix will be moved to one of those. I am figuring more Seattle as for Quebec I dont think the arena will be ready by the time the Islanders have to make a descison. Also Dallas is in trouble of moving as well. If they take up both locations then that is good news for us!! - kasperrko
wtf? if they have already started building or at least KNOW they are building arent they that much further along than nassua is? IE if the arena "wont be ready by the time the islanders have to make a decision" than certainly a new colliseum wont be ready either according to that logic.... |

Some people are actually complaining now about the parking being too small and virtually non-existent. Fact of the matter is this, most people are going to take public transportation to that location anyway so it's not a big deal. - BringBackBalky
ill leave the experts to decide if its a big deal or not....having said that, lets say 10k take P.T. that leaves 4,500 people that are driving...lets assume a 4:1 person to car ratio....that means 1,125 cars....if youve ever driven in brooklyn you know what kind of a headache it is without a sporting event...add AT LEAST 1,125 more cars to the road, id hardly call that "not a big deal" |

If anyone has an Xbox, NHL12 and a Gold Membership, I have an NHL12 league going right now that at the moment has 4 spot still left open. The Teams left are the Dallas Stars, New York Islanders, Ottawa Senators and Minnesota Wild. Not the most attractive teams but I'm just trying to fill the whole league up. So far, so good. Someone joined my league as the Winnipeg Jets and has yet to play. I may boot him and give someone else the opportunity because everyone else within the last week has at least played one game. |

He will still have close to 30 goals. MAtty is one of the only Islanders who goes to the net and crashes it. I think he would be fine. Bailey I am willing to give one last chance to. Put him on the second line see what he can do, if he does nothing then adios amigo - kasperrko
Moulson doesn't play anywhere else on the ice. You are right he gets to net but he just waits for jt to do all the work.
Moulson is kept on first line b/c he can't play without jt |

Isles announced Milbury's induction to their HOF. His banner, to be raised next to Bill Torrey's Bowtie "Architect" , will be a picture of a shoe raised-in-hand and read, "The Destroyer" |

Or because he's a two time 30-goal scorer on his way to a third consecutive 30-goal season. |

Or the banner could simply show an Isles logo on fire with Milbury pouring gasoline over it. |

Rolston shouldn't be dressing at all. Cappy's (and Snow's) biggest mistake is letting Rolston take a shift over a guy like Rakshani or Ullstrom. A close second to that mistake is letting Tim Wallace dress. Wallace should be sent to Bridgeport and Ullstrom should be up. Rolston should be in the press box and Rakshani should dress instead.
Don't compare Bailey to Rolston. That's a good way to lose any argument that Bailey is somewhat valuable. Comparing Bailey to Rolston is like comparing Bailey to a flaming brown bag of s**t. Just like Rolston, a flaming bag of s**t has no value whatsoever to a professional ice hockey team. So, anything compared to Rolston is going to have more value to the team than Rolston. The water bottles, the pucks used in warm-ups, etc.
I'm as done with the Bailey disussions as I am the RDP ones. Any way you look at it, Bailey has been a major disappointment over his four NHL seasons. His offensive production is abysmal. His "two way" play is no better than the other centers on the team, with the notable exception of Pandolfo and Reasoner, and that's not saying much. his play of the PK is no better than Grabs, Frans, Martin or Pandolfo's. Sure, there are worse players on the Isles (see Reasoner, Rolston, Pandolfo, Wallace) but to call Bailey anything other than a major disappointment is not being accurate. - Jethro09

At least they would have had Comrie to teach everyone the skillful art of the toedrag on every single rush ever. I don't feel bad one bit that he's retiring early, nor should anyone feel bad for someone that gets to stick it to H. Duff on the regular. |

The fourth line should fulfill an actual role, not just be a place for bad players to log minutes with hopes that they simply don't do too much harm while they're out there. For example, when the team's play starts to stagnate, you put your fourth line out for a spark...either a fight, or a few big hits, or an ultra high-energy shift, or just stir it up a bit and agitate. Do you see any of that from our fourth line? Toward the end of last season, Martin-Konopka-Haley had no more talent than this year's cast of characters, but their shifts were a heck of a lot more noticeable and had much more impact. They actually served a purpose and had a role. - UIF
Once again we only won 45% of our FO's. I remember we did quite well in the FO department last season! I believe two loses resulted in immediate Fla goals! |

Ya know, with you throwing around all those numbers one would assume your the expert. Let me rephrase myself for a minute...........I don't think it's as big of a deal as some are already making it out to be. Better? |

he is #58 in the nhl in hits with 115....not terrible considering hes only played in 44 games....if he played for all 55 games he would have 144 hits, good for 25th - LetsGoIsles
I changed my stance on the overall number here. My actual point was that he doesn't use HIS size to full advantage. He's supposedly the same weight as Chara but 5" shorter. He doesn't throw his weight around. And no, I'm not comparing him to Chara. Is this better for you? |
