I know what you are saying but I think put him in a bigger rolse see what he can do if he does nothing then we know what we have here and then you can decide to ship him out. I thinkhe deserves the chance though. All these kids do. I will say that Jack has no clue how to use his players at all. And does need a major uhaul on the lines no doubt - kasperrko
Do I want Josh Bailey traded for the sake of trading him? No. Do I think Josh Bailey is THE problem on this team? No. Do numbers lie? No. Last time I checked, the skilled players play on the PP. |

In that case Rolston and Amac need to take a seat as well. I think I would like to see NEss on the power play and maybe put Okposo back at the point?? |

I wish Rolston would take a seat. One that has drying cement on it. AMac has had a down year no doubt, but I'm not comparing D-men to Forwards. That's an entirely different debate. |

Bailey has been better in his own zone. His skating is better but I think he sees the game a 1/4 step too slow and s reluctant to shoot. He will never produce until he speeds up his decision making. To say he is useless is a bit unfair. If he was a guy we drafted in the 7th round no one would be on him. However to stay on this team past next season he is going to have to step it up offensively.
As for our coach. We are what, 3rd to last in goals scored ? Yet the lines haven't changed in months. Time to switch it up. - Isles316
Time to switch up coaches. Inconsistent play has to do with preparation. The team has tools. Im not saying a full set of tools but inconsistency in play reflects on prep and prep is the job of the coaches. You can point a finger at a lot of players for a lot of things but when a different team shows up each night, it's the fault of the coach. |

3 pts in the last 19 games. All 3 on the PK. Matt Martin (not as offensively gifted) 5 pts in the last 19 games. Please explain..................
Not for nothing but somehow I was credited with a secondary assist all the way from the 300 section. Bailey hasn't even done that on the ice.
Edit: Oh and I forgot to put in that he averages 1:00 of PP time per game on a team in the top 10 on the PP. - BringBackBalky
A. Matt Martin has also been on the PP.
B. Bailey has been on the PP for about a game and ja half and he is on the second unit which gets about 30 seconds if they are lucky per 2 mins.
C. you need guys on your line to score for u to get an assist. |

Just signed Grabs to a big contract he is here and they need to find a way to wake him up. I think he is a better player then what his numbers are showing right now. Nielson I dont think is the center that should be on the second line. For most of the season he was also playng with Rolston. Every line that guy goes on he destroys, now it is the third line he is killing - kasperrko
Yeah they have a hard on for Grabner.........but the bottom line with this team is they have too many soft forwards. When Martin left the game against the Kings, the isles had ZERO forwards who play the body. You cant win in this league without having physical presence.

A & B) MM averages :17 a game of pp time. Bailey averages :59
C) Isn't he supposed to be a playmaker? Not one assist since Dec 31. Come on now, that's absurd. |

It would help if he had a linemate who could actually hit the friggin net. Bailey will have 3 goals in the next 3 games.... write that down. OH.. and we will lose 2 of thos games. |

Likke him or not, Jurcina does play the body.........but i do hear what you're saying. They lack that physical presence on both ends of the ice.

What body is it that he uses because it certainly isn't his. He'll throw an occasional check but for a man of his size he plays much smaller. |

Hamonic injury is killing the Islanders right now. He was our best d man. I am not saying thwy would have won these games if he was playing but he does make a difference |

He still needs to produce more. I want him to succeed, I really do. But he's not showing any progression and when he does it's for 2-3 games in a row and then it's gone. I'm not dogging the kid because I don't like him or anything like that but he's going in the wrong direction. |

That is on Wang who hates a physical game. I see every other team playing physical and I dont know if Wang has seen that most of those teams are successful. |

There's a brand new arena being built in Seattle that's looking to house an NHL/NBA team. I'm still optimistic that in the long run the team will stay in Nassau right now, but that article definitely wasn't any positive news. |

After Martin, Jurcina is the only other guy on the team who has layed guys out.

This was one of the cr*ppiest games they played all year....if not the worst. Just no effort to get to the front of the net, at all- this team NEEDS that in order to score goals. We always seem to make make Theodore....who sucks....look like Ken effing Dryden. Just an atrocious effort.
PS- Having a brother who is a Flyers fan...Versteeg always seems to kick a** when he's on a team that has no pressure to win. Just saying.... |

Im done using Wang as the scapegoat. Im pretty certain wang isnt making hockey decisions. The onus falls on Snow for the players he's assembled, and Capuano for the roster decisions. Both of whom have not done a great job. The worse of the two being Snow for not allowing the young kids to play this year, and his panic "try out" signings. |

This team WILL be in Brooklyn if Nassau doesn't get off its a**....guaranteed. That TV contract is a gold mine they WON'T get anywhere else. They'll figure out how to deal with the building. |
