Sorry, but I just don't see Wang as innocent and blameless as the article makes it sound. If (when) this team moves, I will curse Charles Wang just as loudly as ABLI and the politicians.

I still feel the Islanders are going to stay in New York though. I am not worried about it no matter what is being written or being said. Right now it is everyone stirring the pot to make it look gloom and doom

He isn't innocent but he has tried. Where I blame him is his silence with the fan base.

I beleive Some where on the Island whether it be Brooklyn Queens Suffolk something will happen. Ic an not see the NHL giving up on this team with the rich heritage they have. IF they can try to save a team like Phoenix which has no heritage what so ever then I can see them stepping in

Rolston shouldn't be dressing at all. Cappy's (and Snow's) biggest mistake is letting Rolston take a shift over a guy like Rakshani or Ullstrom. A close second to that mistake is letting Tim Wallace dress. Wallace should be sent to Bridgeport and Ullstrom should be up. Rolston should be in the press box and Rakshani should dress instead.

Don't compare Bailey to Rolston. That's a good way to lose any argument that Bailey is somewhat valuable. Comparing Bailey to Rolston is like comparing Bailey to a flaming brown bag of s**t. Just like Rolston, a flaming bag of s**t has no value whatsoever to a professional ice hockey team. So, anything compared to Rolston is going to have more value to the team than Rolston. The water bottles, the pucks used in warm-ups, etc.

I'm as done with the Bailey disussions as I am the RDP ones. Any way you look at it, Bailey has been a major disappointment over his four NHL seasons. His offensive production is abysmal. His "two way" play is no better than the other centers on the team, with the notable exception of Pandolfo and Reasoner, and that's not saying much. his play of the PK is no better than Grabs, Frans, Martin or Pandolfo's. Sure, there are worse players on the Isles (see Reasoner, Rolston, Pandolfo, Wallace) but to call Bailey anything other than a major disappointment is not being accurate.

- Jethro09

I know you said you are done with the Bailey argument, but I do have one question. Has Josh Bailey ever played with anyone on this team that the organization see's as a "future" player on the team? Can anyone name any player that Bailey has been paired with who is top 6 forward material? I cannot. He's been given the shaft since he's been drafted. For whatever reason they will not allow Bailey to play with "2nd line wingers". The kid was a playmaker in juniors, and to me is one now, yet they have him playing a checking line role. Im extremely confused by this.

Personally I'm just tired of reading about it. I want something to get done. It's a black cloud hanging over ths franchise and it's only getting darker and bigger. I would bet on them staying but if ground isn't broken by the fall on anything new then what? The Brooklyn arena is too small. Bettman has said on wfan that it is not an option. Nassau needs a new arena and where has Suffolk been since levy declared he would take them three years ago.

It's not a lock that they stay and the longer this goes on the better the chances that they are gone.

Brooklyn is making the biggest push right now I still can see NAssau waking up as well. It is going to be alast second type of thing and then Bam. I still will feel this team stays cause of what they have accomplished in the past. You just dont dump a team that has the rich heritage. It was easy for ATlanta to be dumped cause they failed a few times there

The fourth line should fulfill an actual role, not just be a place for bad players to log minutes with hopes that they simply don't do too much harm while they're out there. For example, when the team's play starts to stagnate, you put your fourth line out for a spark...either a fight, or a few big hits, or an ultra high-energy shift, or just stir it up a bit and agitate. Do you see any of that from our fourth line? Toward the end of last season, Martin-Konopka-Haley had no more talent than this year's cast of characters, but their shifts were a heck of a lot more noticeable and had much more impact. They actually served a purpose and had a role.
- UIF

Well said.........they should have had Haley centering Ulstrom and Rhaskshani.......our 4th line right now is abominable. Wallace and Rolston playing on this team shows how serious managament is about making the playoffs

The line right now need to be completely revamped. No one has it going right now.

Tavares.moulson.nino
Neilson.okposo.martin
Bailey.parenteau.grabner
Pandolfo.wallace.rolston

Now the bottom three shouldn't be here but that's another conversation

I have been busting on Bailey lately myself but you know what you are right about not playing with anyone that is actually decent. I say throw him on the second line to see if he generates offense put Nielson on the third line and lets see what happens. I cant see it being any worse. Maybe Grabner wakes up. The only thing is you also have PA on that line and they are kind of the same type of player

I dont love your combos, but I guess we are all entitled to our opinions:

Moulson/Tavares/Okposo
Nino/Bailey/Grabner
Martin/Frans/PA
Ulstrom/Haley/Rhakshanni I made my own 4th

3 pts in the last 19 games. All 3 on the PK. Matt Martin (not as offensively gifted) 5 pts in the last 19 games. Please explain..................

Not for nothing but somehow I was credited with a secondary assist all the way from the 300 section. Bailey hasn't even done that on the ice.

Edit: Oh and I forgot to put in that he averages 1:00 of PP time per game on a team in the top 10 on the PP.

I think Grabner is the bust here. I know he's fast as crap, but big whoop........he doesnt have the hands to match his speed, and his physical play is non existant. So whats left??? You can have 4 breakaways a game but if you cant bury, you have no worth.

Man I know hockey........and Bailey can play. Does he need to shoot more, yes, but this kid can stick handle in a phone booth. GET HIM SOME TALENT TO PLAY WITH. They keep expecting him to just take the ice and make things happen. Id love to see what he can do, with top 6 wingers.

I know what you are saying but I think put him in a bigger rolse see what he can do if he does nothing then we know what we have here and then you can decide to ship him out. I thinkhe deserves the chance though. All these kids do. I will say that Jack has no clue how to use his players at all. And does need a major uhaul on the lines no doubt

Say all u want. Just because player not putting up alot of points doesn't mean he not playing well. Bailey and nino haved had very good games. Just has not translated to score board. Those two are not to blame.

Get bailey playing with skill and then we'll talk. Same with nino. If bailey buries that backhand off post it would be on HON on tsn and Espn.

You want to see my point validated? Take moulson off tavares line for few games and let me know how many goals he gets.

Bailey is two way player and nino is a power foward. Both being underutilized

Just signed Grabs to a big contract he is here and they need to find a way to wake him up. I think he is a better player then what his numbers are showing right now. Nielson I dont think is the center that should be on the second line. For most of the season he was also playng with Rolston. Every line that guy goes on he destroys, now it is the third line he is killing

He will still have close to 30 goals. MAtty is one of the only Islanders who goes to the net and crashes it. I think he would be fine. Bailey I am willing to give one last chance to. Put him on the second line see what he can do, if he does nothing then adios amigo
