i dont hate Josh Bailey..but he has plenty of chances to become the second line center...he is good in his own end but we need more production and his unwillingness to shoot the puck is mind numbing

Exactly he passes up the shot about 90% of the time. I just dont see Bailey part of this teams future. When they signed Frans to that deal and with Strome in the wings there is no room for Bailey anymore. He had his chance for years and did not produce at all. I dont hate the guy but he goes in this streak where he does great for a week or almost two and then disappears. Just because he is playing decent now just means this week we wont even know he was on the ice

Just stop with the Bailey hatred. It is just stupid. Rolston misses the net everytime he gets the puck. If you have not seen it Bailey is on the PK and those 3 points were all short handed goals.. just saying.

He is a set up guy.. will be first to tell you that and having Rolston who can't seem to hit the net on his line is absurd. There are a lot of issues on this team that are GLARING. I don't see Josh as one of those issues. Perhaps if the rest of the team was amazing I would see it.. I don't.

Nielsen losing 2 own zone face offs cleanly and not staying with Center who beat him in face off... so he got a clean open look at the net from 15 feet away (not sure what PA was doing on that face off either by the way)... really really awesome.

Rolston shouldn't be dressing at all. Cappy's (and Snow's) biggest mistake is letting Rolston take a shift over a guy like Rakshani or Ullstrom. A close second to that mistake is letting Tim Wallace dress. Wallace should be sent to Bridgeport and Ullstrom should be up. Rolston should be in the press box and Rakshani should dress instead.

Don't compare Bailey to Rolston. That's a good way to lose any argument that Bailey is somewhat valuable. Comparing Bailey to Rolston is like comparing Bailey to a flaming brown bag of s**t. Just like Rolston, a flaming bag of s**t has no value whatsoever to a professional ice hockey team. So, anything compared to Rolston is going to have more value to the team than Rolston. The water bottles, the pucks used in warm-ups, etc.

Bailey is not even close to that. I guess when we drafted him I expected so much more from him and well his numbers have been real bad since day one. I dont get trading down for him. Again I disagree they seem to play well and are usually in teh offensive zone more then the third line. They are the fourth line BTW and they are not even supposed to be that good. They are there for defensive reasons and that is all. I dont know any fourth line that really stands out as good.

It was literally right off the face off though. I get you not liking him and thinking he sucks, I totally do. If Shea Weber was standing there it would've done the same thing.

All right then the best to come out of that is Hamonic. Petrov has not played yet so I will hold judgement. Still though with Bailey if he gave a hundred percent each night then he can be so much more. Just seems lazy at times. Totally agree. This team plays totally differnt with him in there. They seem slower and really nothing. Sit Rolston again bring up Ullstrom and send Rhett down

Maybe it is time to see what some of these guys can do so we can get rid of some of the trash we have up at the moment. It also gets a glimpse of next year and how this team rounds out.

i have trashed Wishart for weeks but he had a great weekend..can't believe i just typed that..but he really did have a good weekend..look he is soft as jello but his skating is good and his outlet passes are good as well..something that jurchina eaton and staois stink at..honestly it cant get any worse

Great thatmeans Rolston is going to be playing. I really feel the Islanders have given up on the season. Playijng Rolston over anyone in the AHL is the biggest sign to date. Even though Butch things he looks awesome.
