Jannik Hansen for Hal Gill
Max Lapierre and Andrew Alberts for Ales Hemsky and Sam Gagner

Raymond Gagner Hemsky
Moen Malhotra Gaustad
Schenn Weber
Ballard Gill
Allen Rome
Alberts
Luongo
Schneider
Some bold and surprising moves to be sure, especially when you take the salary cap into consideration. But just think of all the jersey sales revenue Authentix would rake in. |

We should also trade our 3rd rounder for a 1st rounder. Somebody has to need another 3rd rounder somewhere... |

Schroeder for O'Reilly.
Schroeder was picked 11 spots ahead, so he must be better. |

The hits themselves I was ok with. The running around and forcing them was what I had an issue with. Both time Alberts was out of position - IanEsplen
You sound like you might be a Flames fan ( ). Alberts' hit became a problem only because the Flame got tangled up with Booth first and was going down a bit. Nothing else wrong with the hit. As for the fight: Backlund 'jumped' Alberts, threw the first punch, and when Alberts joined the fight Backlund paid the price. No way at all did Alberts start that fight. Backlund alone was responsible for that -- call it gutsy or stupid.... |

On that basis, can we still do Luc Bourdon for Anze Kopitar?
(No disrespect intended regarding Luc. I often wonder, assuming he continued to progress as expected, how the team would look now with him still in their lineup. A tragic loss on so many levels.) |

Based on Columbus' draft record, they should jump at this. |

I'm okay with this. Makes sense, although I don't agree with the Salo aspect. |

When Higgins comes back into the line up who is going to be taken out? I'm thinking it might be between Duco and Bitz but both have played good since there call ups and they each bring something that our bottom 6 was lacking (hits/energy/toughness). Its going to be a tough call by the coaching staff but i would like to see Hansen sit a game or 2 to try and get his game back on track or it might be time to move a forward and bring in another defensemen. |

lol when alberts punched him he had both hands on his stick.
its clear about that. He expected someone coming at him, but should have took a look before he started swinging.
the hit was fine, bad timing. but he jumped backlund, feel free to find footage showing otherwise.
Cgy was lucky that canucks weren't rolling on full cylinders. I'm fine with that, the win was needed |

Duco out I can only assume. Gillis has been saying all last week they are going to take a serious look at what Bitz can do before the deadline. Duco is always just a phone call away. They havent been keeping an extra forward all season. Thats why no matter how irrelivent some forwards get...they are never scratched.

Man Malkin is tearing it up, another two goals tonight. 69 points on the season now, about the same number that Ian defended the Flames in his blog |

You can't trade for a player of Malkin's caliber without giving up a core piece for Pitt to build around in return. We're gonna have to give up Aaron Rome |

did anyone see that puck cross the line in the 2nd and bowmester pull it back.
when kipper got up it was half over the line.
watch the replay and you can see the puck fully cross before the whistle and watch #4 stick push it back |

Only problem is there was no video of it crossing only an assumption that it was over.
