agree 100% but the thing which kinda of scares me is they havent won against a top tier team in a looong time.. but in saying that 8 rookies is alot so its understandable
- Slammed81

The thing that scares me is running out and trading a 2nd rounder for a Randy Jones type guy and pissing away an asset in panic.

Let's face it, without Pronger, the Flyers are probably not a top tier team. Still a pretty good team, with potential, but not a top tier team.

That would be idiotic. You don't make a trade just to make a trade.

Does bringing in a Hal Gill immediately make the forwards backcheck better? Does it keep MAB from taking a dumb penalty? Does it prevent Coburn from blowing coverage?

While a deal probably wouldn't hurt, unless the guys currently on the team now don't start playing better, it won't matter.

Nothing Kimmo said was wrong, and he's backing it with solid play. I see nothing wrong with what he said, or how he said it.

Heck, if Pronger were still with the team you would have heard the same, or more long before now.

I have a problem with it, especially if he's going to be a spectator on the ice when the game winning goal is scored against the Flyers.

I was actually kind of proud of the Flyers tonight.
Brutal schedule, playing against the class of the league, going for a record.
They never quit, the effort was there.

Clearly they have a ton of work to do.
Also love what I'm seeing from Mr Schenn, you can see his confidence growing every game.

Go Flyers.

If they can keep their heads above water until they get their injured players back and get Breeze in some sort of groove, they'll be in good shape regardless where they end up.

The team may be taking it's lumps with all the rookies in the lineup right now, but both the kids and the team will be better for it in the long run.

No panic moves, Homer.

If they could get a good young defenseman, I'd be willing to consider trading one of the young forwards.

Getting a solid veteran defenseman wouldn't hurt, unless they overpaid. Unfortunately, right now, that seems to be the only way to get a solid veteran defenseman.

Let's put it this way. They have taken on the top two teams in the standings, and played them even at 5 on 5. The PK has killed them the last two games. Better work on the PK tonight, and they beat the top team in the NHL and break their 19 game home winning streak.

The younger guys will learn, and when they get some breaks, the confidence will return and things will be OK.

Plenty of hockey left in the season to get this straightened out. The Flyers need to get better on special teams and play better defensively. Sounds like a broken record but its the truth. I thought the Flyers did a nice job tonight they had plenty of good scoring chances. The turnovers and defensive breakdowns need to be addressed (which im sure the coach is doing). People are frustrated with what has transpired over the weekend but I like what I saw tonight. They didnt get the win but were going to find out the character of this team as this is really the biggest challenge (struggling to win) they've faced all season.
