and that's why giving up that late goal was so crucial. instead of a 4-2 lead we're now looking at a 4-3 deficit a minute into the 3rd.

And a whisker away from 5-3

do you blame him? the guy has wide open players far side for tap ins game in and game out. he's just trying to keep his head straight.

i didn't say it was, but he certainly didn't help matters. he's been on the ice an awful lot lately for goals against.

I feel bad for both goalies right now. The lack of D coverage is beyond embarrassing right now.

it certainly is. if the flyers were only allowed 10 or 11 guys on the ice at a time.

he was left alone down low on a 2 on 1. not his blown coverage
- nastyflyergirl

He can't just leave his man in front of the net and go to the puck. If he was worth covering by Coburn the first time around he is still worth covering.

The problem on that whole sequence started when nobody helped Timonen along the wall. He was battling with Datsyuk in the corner at the end of the PK. And when we got to full strength, nobody helped him and the Wings outnumbered him and won the puck battle. Once that happened, the Flyers were in scramble mode and never recovered.

How so? Was he not standing next to Franzen just seconds before he scored? He left his man to do someone else's job. That's what too many of them are doing right now.

The Flyers have breakdowns we know this but they are getting chances on offense as well. They need to take advantage, Detroit is giving up plenty of scoring chances for us to tie this game.

i can't remember a time when it's been this bad. 4, 5, 6 goals against every single (frank)ing night.

As opposed to? Patrick Roy would look mediocre behind this D.

maybe so but he was left alone down low on a 2 on 1 while Timonen was along the boards standing there staring at the point. Just annoys the (frank) out of me that everyone jumps on him when he wasn't the cause

Be cause he was left alone to deal with two players while his defense partner was up along the circle and no other forward dropped down to help out
