Apparently he's still a bit weak, but may dress as back-up

I guess Seravelli went to The Milbury School Of Journalism. Apparently, according to Milbury, things will be very uncomfortable in the Briere household because Cooter has been put back on the fourth line due to Briere returning.

Shame on Jonesy for not shutting him up.

Damn, would've liked to have seen him go against up against this team.

I want to see Bob have a big bounce back game. Bryzgalov has played mostly well, since the break, but Bobrovsky has not played well for the most part.

That's kinda of the reason i wanted to see Bryz, he finally seems to have gotten it together and gets sick

They have to get pressure on the Wings goal tonight. MacDonald played great in his last start, but he's a guy that can be beat. They need to go hard after the Red Wings.

Good stuff. I'd like to reiterate that in addition to all this, the Flyers are playing as many as 9 rookies on any given night.

We have seen, with many rookies, hitting that rookie wall can be a problem. Playing at a high level for a full season doesn't happen for most rookie players.

Combine that with the loss of Pronger, where guys like Carle, Coburn and Meszaros go from being the junior guy in the D pair to having to carry a kid like Bourdon or Gustafsson.

Even most of the key veterans up front are young guys who have never really been top line guys for several seasons. This is Claude Giroux's first season as the top line center, Simmonds' first year as a top six wing, etc.

What you get with that much youth is mistakes and inconsistency. I'm not making excuses for anyone, it simply is what it is. Any trade, in and of itself, will not correct the issue. The guys on hand(or who are still here after a trade) must simply play better than they have.

- Jsaquella

the thing that sucks is they are a very young team with loads of kids who are probably a few yrs away then you have the guys like Jagr, Timonen, Pronger and even Briere who's time is passing by.

It's great they're on the road since they're so much better away from Philly.

Unfortunately they're going up against a team about to tie the record for straight wins at home.

THEY ARE HALTING THAT TONIGHT!!!

Well, the veterans keep them competitive now and help to mentor the kids. Also, I think they can be a serious contender as early as next season.

I am interested to see how disciplined they play tonight. Especially in the first ten minutes or so. They need to stop over committing in the defensive zone. I expect to see Detroit try some backdoor plays in the offensive zone....because the Flyers are definitely vulnerable to that play.
