I would like to see Stasburg stay healthy all year long. Braves, Marlins, and Nats are going to be a handful. The Mets will be beaten like a drum by all 4 teams in the Division all year long.

I will be tuning in to Marlins games in hopes of seeing that glorious creation beyond the center field wall!

He was diagnosed after the Devils game on January 21, and flew to Florida on January 22 after the home loss to the Bruins.

Regardless, it is a pretty known fact that most doctors do not recommend flying if you are suffering from a concussion. It has something to do with cabin pressure and how it affects your brain.

Makes me wonder what the team was thinking in regards to letting him fly.

Never said otherwise. I agree that it isn't wise to fly while concussed, and doctors have said as much.

I was challenged that I didn't have any evidence to support my post. I simply backed it up with factual information. I was more then willing to let it go.

Roller
- griouxmvp2012

You can get way cheaper sticks then that for Roller. Like in the 20- 40 $ range. The Blades wear down so quick in roller it's not worth getting expensive sticks. Go for any stick with the ABS blade.

Prediction and wishful thinking Philly 5 Detroit 4

- flyerdude17

I can see 9 goals but a 7-2 win for Detroit. I just hope we can keep it close. I'd love to see us snap the streak but I can't see it happening. Thank God we were able to win in Detroit last year.

Let me say this first before the negativity begins...I like Briere, mainly because he goes to the hard areas of the net to score, despite his small stature, and he performs huge in the playoffs. Two large positive attributes.

But does anyone get bothered by the complete lack of attention in the D zone? I understand being such a small guy, he will not win many, if any, board battles. Not trying to say he should out muscle others behind the Flyers net and re-claim the puck. I just get annoyed with the lack of coverage and coasting he continually does.

Briere is one of the first guys to talk in post-game about having to be better and be more attentitive to details in the D zone. You think being one of the vocal leaders in the locker room, he'd attempt to be a leader on the ice as well. It's just something that has bothered me for years with him and it'd be nice to see some improvement there. I just dont have the opinion that since he performs big in the playoffs, that he gets a pass in other areas.

FYI, I am NOT blaming Briere for all the Flyers mishaps in the D zone this year. This is just an opinion I have on him and have always wondered if he thought about this.

This is a tough one. I like you understand that he lacks the physical attributes to win physical battles. My only complaint is when he lacks effort in the defensive end, and simply coasts or just fails to pay attention to the detail needed defensively. The thing is that with the offensive output he gives in the playoffs, offsets the negative defensive aspects. Now if he doesn't produce as he has in the past in the playoffs, then there would be a big issue. An argument can be made that it's tough to win like that. With having a key player not having a two way game. Especially for a Center
