Voracek needs to be less of a perimeter player and get to the dangerous areas of the ice, to use that talent to better use.

If Jake was a little tougher and had a little bit of a mean demeanor it would certainly make him a better player. For all his skill and vision he is a soft player and I do not think that will ever change. He must be utilized with a couple of tough linemates or use his vision as a pp specialist. He is young and should get a little more abrasive in time.

If it was a concussion, he wouldn't have flown to Detroit.
- MJL

That's good. I didn't see that he flew to Detroit. Thanks

I personally wouldn't label him to be a soft player. I don't have any issue with his compete level. I just think he needs to develop the parts of his game to become more a straight forward player, versus playing East/West.

It was reported an upper body injury but that being said he was on the plane to Detroit. I guess it depends on how he feels today.

Said game time decision. Who knows. It could be a concussion, it could be a shoulder. Briere flew to Florida right after a concussion, so at this point your guess is as good as mine.

Was Briere diagnosed with a concussion at the time he flew to Florida?

Looking forward to the game tonight, should be a great game. The Wings will want to get the record and the flyers want to rebound and get back on track.

Does anyone think Bob will be traded this year? I would like to see the flyers hold on to him as long as they can but I have no doubt Bob will be a starter somewhere down the road in the nhl.

I personally do not feel that Bobrovsky will be traded this year. But you never know.

Not expecting much tonight, maybe I will be surprised. Don't think Bobrovsky can be traded to be honest. Leighton is subject to recall waivers, so they can't bank on him being the backup. Might as well hold on to Bob at this point in time. He's playing plenty. In fact tonight will be his 20th start of the season.

If Bryz played up to the expectations of the team, I would think they would have seriously consider trading Bob at the deadline or this summer at the draft or even July 1. After the way Bryz has played this season, I think the team holds onto him.

Would you do Bobrovsky and JVR for Nash?

What would Columbus be scouting on the flyers?

No I would not. Nash isn't what the Flyers need in my opinion.

Holmgren announced he sustained the concussion on or around the 21st. The Florida game was the 21st.

I feel the same way sort of. I like to be a positive person but I think a flyer win at the Joe tonight will be a pleasant surprise. I would hold onto Bob becasue trading him could just be like the sharks trading Kipper to the flames and the rest is history.

You nailed it. Can you imagine bringing in a third option like a Nabokov rumor??

Anything can happen. It's hockey. But the Wings have been unbeatable at home. 19 wins in a row. Flyers playing short handed, on the second game of a back to back. All signs point to a thumping. But that's why they play the games.

Since guys don't fly with concussions, maybe Briere swam to Florida.

JVR goes nowhere. You don't trade a young power forward who was on track to be a consistent 70 pt a year player, for a depth defensive defenseman (Schenn). I don't care what picks are coming back. I'm back to where I was in September/October. Chalk this year up as experience for the rookies. Keep building towards the future.

Sutton resigned. Gill/Allen these types of dmen will minimally cost a 2nd, the list is growing shorter. I'm not ready to concede that.

- Just5

You only see Schenn as being a depth defensemen?
